“Small Restaurant - Great Food”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

As indicated in other reviews, this is not an inexpensive restaurant, perhaps even by Piazza di Spagna standards, but we found the food to be quite fresh and flavorful. The host/waiter seemed a bit aggressive (over bearing) and the menu does state €2.00/person for bread (coperto) plus 15% for service, which they do add to the bill - the first time I've experienced that in Italy. We had 3 appetizers - fiore di zucchini, sformato melanzane and insalata porcini (with raw fresh-sliced mushrooms) -all were excellent as we're the pasta dishes that followed. They also have a great wine list with most wines well above €25 per bottle. In summary: great food, spotty service (depending on who serves you - the woman was great), and a little pricy, but we found it worthwhile based on the ambiance of the restaurant n the quality of the food.

“Good, authentic restaurant”
Reviewed June 11, 2013

Le Sorelle was a great place to stop for lunch while near Piazza di Spagna. The decor and ambiance is chic and intimate. The food was very good and they were pretty fast.

“Small menu/Great food”
Reviewed June 7, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant was not highly recommended by our hotel concierge but we decided to go there regardless. We were not dissapointed. The food was hot and very flavorful. The menu was small but the offerings were seasonal, well crafted dishes. The staff was attentive and efficient. Both of the sisters were working as the waitstaff. They took our sons order right away, so that he could start eating before us. This is something that I had not seen outside of America. They were also not offended by our American way of wanting to eat and go. Most Europen restaurants think that they should push their way of eating on you, ie..3+ hour meal. If you don't conform to this standard of their, they look down upon you. Not at Le Sorelle, they let us set the pace of our meal and that was extremely refreshing. Sorry Europeans, but I don't like to take my entire evening to eat a meal. I highly recommend this restaurant for families, couples, and for the one and onlys.

“Came recommended by a guide, not what we expected, very expensive and food just ok. Watch for Overcharges”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

A guide we had recommended this place. We went in with several other couples (8 people total) with high expectations. Prices were quite expensive overall and portions fairly small. We had separate checks and my wife and I ordered a glass of wine each. We had no wine list and the waiter asked what we wanted. We told him a red and he asked light, medium or hearty. We said a hearty wine would be good. (We came to find out hearty mean expensive at 11 Euros a glass. Our other friends got a bottle of wine for 20 euros.

My dish was good, my wife's was just ok, both were very small. Another couple said so so on their dish of lamb it was basically just bones. They also charge for bread which we did not order and also a 15% service charge. (both noted on the menu)

When the bill came we were charged for 4 servings of bread (which they did take off) and when they brought the bill back the service charge was still 12 euros. Should have been 8.85 euros. I pointed this out and they change the bill again and made it 9 euros ( I was not going to argue this and paid it)

We will be back again to Rome in October and will most certainly stay away from this restaurant, which was right around the corner from our hotel. It was also the most expensive meal we have had in both France and Italy during our 16 day stay and this was the last night. We each had a first course, each a glass of wine and a liter of water. Total after the overcharges were adjusted was 68 euros.
