We stayed on the ground floor at the hotel for 3 nights and were able to check in early when we arrived around 11am. The great thing about this hotel is that it's located quite close to the Marconi Station (make sure you make a left turn on the street once you get out of the station. Google map was pointing us in the other direction) The bad thing about the hotel is that it doesn't have good soundproof walls ... we were able to hear someone sing Mamma Mia! song (quite good, actually). If you are a light sleeper, I would ask for a room on the upper floors.
There is a bus stop near the metro station so you can take the bus to La Bocca della Verità (The Mouth of Truth) area instead of taking the metro to Colosseo and walk there.

We booked in July as my wife was attending a conference at the nearby University, and the adjacent Metro station would be good for me. We got there to be informed that they had no rooms which they were blaming on the computer rather than their own incompetence. but that they had booked a room for us in the nearby Sheraton. The Sheraton Roma is geared for holding conferences and is on a traffic island surrounded by major dual carriageway roads from which there is no pedestrian escape. Five days was not long enough to tunnel an escape route, so we spent a fortune on taxis. Many conference goers arrived with reservations and were billetted wherever Pulitzer could find a room. No networking with colleagues and a spoilt conference for my wife and my five days wasted thanks to the Pulitzer. The Sheraton is poor and our only consolation is that those who are in the Pulitzer are not that impressed.

Rooms are not so big however are very well cleaned and comfortable. Hotel is very nice decorated. Breakfast is also well served.
The hotel is not centrally located but is very close to metro station and just 4 stops from the Coliseum . A taxi from the hotel to thd center is about 15 Euros.

We stayed on the 6th floor with a huge roof top terrace. The room was nice, clean and modern. The bathroom was stylish and spacious. Also, it was nice that there were tea/coffee making facilities in room, as well as free Wi-Fi. But it would also have been nice with ironing facilities in the room.

The Pulitzer is located in a residential area outside of Rome. The Marconi metro station is only a few minutes away. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the center of Rome. However, be aware that the metro stops running at 11.30 pm. There are night buses, but it’s quite a hassle to get from the center to the Pulitzer. A taxi from the city costs around 13 euros (beware of unscrupulous taxi drivers – we experienced quite a few of them during our visit!). And remember that you should always make sure the driver starts the meter.

Overall, the hotel was fine, but we found that the front desk staff was not particularly friendly nor helpful – at times even rude. But most of all it was a big drawback that the hotel was so far away from the city center. The area itself is a quiet residential area. There is a small café a few minutes from the hotel, which has nice sandwiches, coffee ect. But that’s about it. There is really nothing to see or do around the hotel. Next time, we will definitely be staying within walking distance to the city center.

If you are in Rome for more than three days and plan on seeing all the famous sights, then it’s worth considering buying the Roma pass (an official tourist-cultural card). You get various discounts like free entry to the first 2 visited museums, 3-day transportation ticket and discounted tickets to exhibitions. It costs 30 euros. The hotel sells them, but charges a service fee (2.5 euros) per card, so avoid the service charge by buying the Roma Pass at one of the museums/attractions included on the pass.
