We were here for the final 3 nights of our 3-week trip through southern Italy, and what a fine ending it was. Laila's apartment is so charming, so spacious, so comfortable ..it was an absolute pleasure to return to. Communication was always prompt, the building was very easy to find, and Laila was there to greet us when we rang the bell. She explained, answered questions, gave suggestions, and did everything we new guests could want.
So much storage space, such a comfortable (and new!) bed, a large bathroom with plenty of hot water (and a washing machine + laundry soap) and a terrace that overlooks a pretty park - We used that terrace a LOT, every morning with coffee, every evening with wine, and plenty of times in between. And so many amenities - there is not enough space to list them all in the T-A amenities section! An iron and ironing board, 2 fans in the master bedroom closet if needed, a pantry stocked with various breakfast items and coffees (milk in the fridge!)... a microwave, a Bialetti-style coffee maker, pasta, olive oil, etc, etc...and excellent WiFi, both inside and out. In short, it's like you are coming home because everything you need is already there.
So an excellent location (very near the Testaccio Market, Aventine Hill, Colosseum, even an easy 10-minute stroll to Eataly, and of course right across from the Ostiense station, which can get you to Fiumincino in half an hour, 8 euros. A very well-equipped and extremely quiet place with a comfy, roomy new bed, and a wonderfully friendly hostess...who also has considerable artistic talent. Her works color the walls of every room, but good luck picking a favorite, because we sure couldn't. I guess we will have to come back and try again. Grazie, Laila!
