The restaurant is very nice and furnished with traditional tirolese stuff (all furniture in wood).
Food is really nice, service efficient and waiters are kind.

2 Mothers and 3 teenagedaughters enjoyed this cozy familyrestaurant, where the Pope once had dinner. Wonderfull good-looking Riccardo and Leonardo gave us attention and really good homemade food, made with Love, and especially for us powerfull and spoiled Danes/Vikings! We were Placed, at a very special bench(in a sort of Cave with old beautiful art at the Wall) from Riccardos grandmothers time, with a feeling of being protected and taking Care of in the busy Rome. A restaurant, most underground, giving you a Feeling of passion, and strong familyhistory and loyal friendships and love between different cultures(Austrian and Italian) Many delicious things to taste, We had Meat, cheeses, vegetables, pasta, pancakes, Wine, sodas and Riccardo made a lovely tasty afterdrink with Prosecco, lemon and mint! The air was kind of magical and with a lot of personality. We felt relaxed and happy after the visit. We came back some days after and hang out in the bar upstairs and had two strong coffee and two Unterberg, a very healthy drink from Tyrol with a lot of herbs. We felt so warm inside the bodies and still so relaxed and filled with joyWe Will for sure come back next year to eat, drink and give the owners and staff a Big hug and kis’s❤️

Been at Cantina Tirolese several times, always great service and high quality food. You can feel that this restaurant was handed through several generation of family, we had always a very warm welcome and it felt like home. You can spend a very cosy evening by good food and beer. Also the Lunch Buffet is very delicious, with great tasting vegtables, salad, pasta and meat. I would recommend this very traditional Restaurant to any visitor in Rome! PS: definately try the goulash, never had such a juicy meat!

This is one of the few German places in Rome and it is great! I usually get the stroganoff which is excellent. It has the feel too—I came in around St. Nicholas day and we received visits from Krampus and Saint Nicholas. Highly recommend, especially if you’re missing Austria or Germany! You can also get a liter of beer on tap!
