There are not enough superlatives to describe this apartment. It is soooo large and comfortable. There are 3 bedroom with really comfy beds and a sofa bed in each room as well. The kitchen is well appointed and there are 2 bathrooms as well as a laundry. It is walking distance to St Paul's Basilica and also to the underground where you can catch a train and be in the City in 10-15 minutes. There's a supermarket next door - you can see it from the kitchen window. There is a lovely little cafe where you can enjoy breakfast and/or coffee not far away. There's a popular Italian Restaurant about 100 mts from the front door and the most fantastic Pizza shop a little further up - best pizza we had in the whole of Italy. The guys who own the Apartment are simply 2 of the best human beings you'll ever come across. Nothing was any bother and they are so kind and generous. Alex met us out the front on our arrival and there was a basket of goodies waiting for us in the kitchen. Alex organised taxi's for us when needed (so we could get to St Peter's Basilica early to see the Pope on Wednesday) and gave us good information on how to get to all the tourist attractions Rome has to offer as well as suggesting some places not on the map. Best of all, Alex and Marco organised a day trip where they took us to places not on the usual tourist trail. They took us to lunch in a typical country Italian Restaurant in a little Villiage - a great experience. The boys are loads of fun with great senses of humour. We left Rome feeling like we had spent time with family. In our hearts that's how we will always think of them. Don't hesitate!!! You too will love your stay in Rome if you stay in St Paul Apartment.
Despite the very short notice and the very short stay (to our regret...) we have all been extremely satisfied, so positively impressed and we have truly enjoyed our time here.
The flat is great, even better than expected!!! Very spacious, comfortable and relaxing, newly renovated as described, it was spotless clean.
The host: It is easy to tell when a person loves to have guests and what a difference it makes! We felt really welcome from the beginning. The communication was impeccable and the instructions detailed and clear, but most importantly always on a friendly tone. That set the perfect mood to our holiday. Alex tries to anticipate what his guests may need. He knows Rome like the back of his hands and gave us some priceless insights and recommendations. The homemade cake we found on our arrival was a big big plus!! (Unfortunately Alex, we did not manage to save it for breakfast…it was too good!) :)
We didn’t spend too much time in the area but I can say it looked lovely, surprisingly quiet for its central location and so well connected. It also felt very safe.
We could not have found a better accommodation or a better host.
Mille grazie Alex! we will surely be back!!!
