“Nothing special”

Many tourists, coffee was good but nothing noticeably better than other coffees we had during our stay in Rome. If you decide to sit there, prices are really high ...

“Overrated”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

This place is overrated, I had better coffee at Rome airport. I have been to hundreds if coffee places over the world and this is the first place I've been to that puts sugar in your cappuccino as default. my wife ordered the coffees and was asked if we want sugar to which she replied no. as we sipped the coffee we were wondering initially why they tasted so sweet and then we realised there was a load of sugar sitting on the tops if the coffee.

There wasn't much standing room a couple of people took their coffees to a table outside, seconds later one if the bar men appeared to tell them that they couldn't sit there unless they paid 5 euro extra.

Try Gran caffè. Sweet, strong and persistent. It worth the cost end the time you will whait to be served.

“good coffee and service”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

Got this place out of a guide book recommendation and were not disappointed. Good coffee and a friendly staff who paid attention to detail. We were remembered and made to feel welcome on our return visits and did not feel like tourists at all. They took the trouble to look after my wife's eating preferences. GO THERE.

“The place to go”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

I was brought here by a friend.
We both had a Monachella. So smooth and so rich!
Pity you can't see the coffees being made, the baristas are behind the coffee machines and there is no way to take a peep. Not giving full marks for Service, as not much English spoken.
