The food here was a nice break from pasta. However, in the US, Indian food comes with rice. Here you will pay 5 eur per person for rice. Without rice your meal would be quite small. So 17 eur for 4 lamb meatballs and rice. Normally at an Indian restaurant my husband and i could share an entree. Not here. So i will say it tasted good, but not at that price. Service was excellent

Went here with my family. Elderly dad and mom. There are several reasons why I would avoid this restaurant - Poor value for money. Not great taste. Portion size was small. The waiter who serviced us was good, but the attitude of the other staff was poor.

The waiter was very nice and the food came out quick, then again we had the place pretty much to ourselves except for one take away order and a single person eating in also. The food tasted very good; portions were a little small though. Everyone liked what they ordered and we had ordered a good variety from the menu. The prices we thought were high for Rome. Overall I would recommend Mother India if looking for good Indian in Rome.

Went here after wanting something different after being in Italy for a while.
The food was good, butter chicken was really nice, and quite spicy, chicken Korma was average.
The waiter was very pushy, consistently trying to uphill more entrees, making suggestions for extra items.
Price adds up by the time you order a meal, rice and naan bread.
4 chicken main meals, 4 rice, 4 naan, 1 bottle water and 2 bottles of wine was over 120 euro. Oh, and one small entree. Pricier than what we would usually pay.

I regret choosing this Indian restaurant . The food was badly prepared; runny sauces, meagre portions and the few pieces of lamb were tough. The samosas should have been crisp but were oily and soft. The rice (large portions), was good. The service was good enough but restaurant overheated to the point of discomfort.
