“Lunch with jazz in the background”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Looking for quick eats not too far from Piazza Navona, we found this place on the corner of Piazzetta di San Simeone with a view of a nice fountain at its center. Although this is primarily a wine bar, it also serves nice pizzas. There's free Wifi.

“A great evening in Rome”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

As my wife and Ihave been staying just down the street for the last three days, this has been our local wine bar. This is not a true restaurant, but a great place to have a drink, and eat as well if you want,in a relaxed and refreshing atmosphere. After a week travelling and eating out in Italy we just wanted something simple and relaxed on our last night before flying home to England.Thursday night is "music night',and the jazz quartet who played were great---4 hours just flew by as we got through a bottle of Prosecco with the excellent tapas style bar snacks, and then a bottle of house red with our pasta(v.good) and pizza(v.average).Dulci and coffee with liqueurs followed. We thought the prices were very reasonable for one of Europe's major capital cities, but then we are used to UK prices. Most of the customers were locals who either knew the patron,or were there to enjoy the music.Like all Italian restaurants the service was attentive but not intrusive.Italians expect you to take time over your meals and are perfectly happy for you to take as long as you like,no matter how much or how little you order. If you are looking for a swanky blow-out restaurant experience with soft lights and hushed conversation this place is not for you.
PS:There was a cover charge of 8 Euros per person for the jazz ,which we thought was good value for an entire evening.Perhaps if they didn't charge they might attract more customers and thereby cover the cost of the band---just a thought.

“Meh”
Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

On a quiet street, maybe there was a language issue but the waitress brought appetizers and main course at the same time. We had ordered pasta as main course. Food was good but carbonara was a bit heavy. 5 Euros for a soft drink seemed excessive.

“Great food where the Italians eat”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Rome is a very quiet city on a Sunday. However, every tourist location is jammed with people and every restaurant is the same – very ordinary pizza and pasta! However, I stumbled on this restaurant as I was escaping from the sun down this very quiet street near Piazza Novona. I ventured in and found a cool and restful place to eat lunch. The food was fresh and excellent - buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad, homemade pasta with a fantastic seafood sauce and pinot grigio by the glass. I was pleased to hear Italian being spoken by all the patrons near me – so it must be good for the locals to come as well.
