Stayed here for a special weekend with my daughter. This is a special and elegant alternative to a standard hotel. That said, keep in mind that there are 4 special suite type rooms, different set-ups, some with lofts, which is what we had, and my daughter loved it. a very very unique room, decorated beautifully. The room we had had bedroom and bath on bottom floor and steep steps up to a lovely gallery loft type area with 2 twin beds and chest drawers. The interior decorating is top notch, a lot of thought and very good taste. As said elegant and workable with fine storage for clothes and all. Bathroom maybe a bit small if 4 would be staying. This suite would be a great idea for family with parents 'downstairs' double bed and kids upstairs as others have written, or also for a girls group outing (upstairs you had be to be careful for the beam in middle ceiling which a bit low). There is a reception area at entrance to the 'hotel' which houses the 4 suites which are located down the hallway, we are talking a very small and casual area where norman and possibly stefano are present only in the morning hours, and can set up restaurants, give advice. We left a note to advice them of our checkout the day before.
Do keep in mind, this is sorta like having you're own 'apartment' as they give you 4 keys for all the entrances and you are more or less on your own (of course if you have mislaid them or have an emergency, they give you a contact number to resolve any problems). We had the coffee machine in the room but breakfast, etc obviously is out of the 'hotel'. We enjoy this set up as can go check out the local cafes for breakfast and eat out each nite different place.
The Suites address is top and super, 5 min walk from metro spanish steps stop, and you are indeed in the very heart of rome, the downtown. Walking distance to pantheon, pz. navona, trevi fountain. Took bus and metro when did colosseum area and Jewish ghetto areas, very easy.
As said, extremely lovely suite with cable tv which we enjoyed as didn't want to miss our favorite show's final and stefano made sure we had it up and going. It's a bit expensive (don't forget to add taxes which checking prices)so consider it for a special treat and does make sense if travelling in 4.
enjoy

We were a group of 6 persons staying in 3 rooms at SuitesRome last October
2013. Our stay was the most pleasant one. In these small apartments,
everything was just perfect - the central location near Spanish Steps, the
street very secure during day and evening, the good restaurants and
accomodation (Farina y Fruta is a great bakery) and a new supermarket just
in front of our hotel on the same street and especially our 3 rooms which
were spacions, clean, daily cleaning and fresh towels, free wifi, etc. and
good information and help from our host Norman.
But most of all, it was the excellent comunication before and during our
stay with the owner Stefano and Norman that was a plus. Rome is a wonderful
city - it is that kind of greeting and help from our hosts that make us
wanting to return again with friends.
We highly recommend Suites Rome.

Fantastic location, sufficient room for 2 adults and 2 kids (suits kids above 3/4 years old who can be trusted up stairs as the single beds are in the mezzanine), helpful advice from the team there. We paid EUR10 extra to have a nespresso machine in our room which helped us start our day. There is a decent supermarket right across.

Myself and three companions recently came back from a four night stay at the SuitesRome. Everything was top notch -- from Franco our driver to and from FCO, to the location of the suites, and Norman, who welcomed us warmly and didn't bat an eye at four women and their combined 12 pieces of luggage. :) The location is perfect -- about a 5 minute walk, if that, from the Spanish Steps and the Spagna Metro stop. We were able to utilize the Metro everyday during our trip, although taking a Roman Taxi is always an experience too! There are many restaurants, cafes, and shopping right outside your front door, as well as a supermarket directly in front of the hotel--another bonus since we had mini fridges in the rooms to stock up on snacks.

The rooms were great as well -- plenty of space for two people in each room. We had the Hedera and Dragontea Suites. Hedera had a double bed downstairs and two singles up in the loft. Dragtontea had two separate sleeping areas, one with a large bed(not quite a King I dont think, but bigger than a Queen) and the full bath, the other sleeping area had two singles and a small commode room.

Definately recommend this place if you are looking for a hotel in Rome!

The apartments are in a great location, very handy for metro and taxi ranks. There is a lift up the the apartments and no steps involved, other than the small one at the very front entrance off the street.

We stayed in Romulea, which has a very comfortable double bed, an easy chair and another dining table type chair in the ground floor and two
Single beds on the mezzanine. It was fairly spacious by Roman hotel room standards; though while not overly expensive is certainly not cheap. There is a shower-room as well, with large shower, basin, toilet and bidet.
A hair dryer and kettle are provided, though there is no French press/cafetiere for making proper coffee.

Sleeping on the mezzanine I didn't really feel the benefit of yet air con, my mum was cold on the main floor and I was too warm. The stairs to the mezzanine are also quite steep.

Norman, who looks after the apartments, is marvellous; he keeps the place so clean and goes the extra mile to make you feel at home.

There are good restaurants and cafés close-by and the area has a good atmosphere.

I would be happy to stay here again; while it seemed expensive compared to studios others we met were staying in, it was very clean, quiet (when the windows are closed) and very conveniently located.

Welcoming staff and facilities in the middle of Rome. They made our stay comfortable & memorable. Breakfast & dinner restaurants very close, and grocery store next door. Norman went the extra mile to help us! Would stay here again!

When traveling in a group of 4, as opposed to a lone couple, one gets a great lesson in the economies of scale, most specifically in the areas of transportation and accommodation. This review will concentrate on the latter.
It becomes very obvious that if one wants to stay in a great location, one either needs to shell out a whole lot of Euros for two decent rooms, or make a compromise on the quality of the establishment.
Enter SuitesRome. For the price of perhaps a single room in a 3.5-4 star accommodation one gets a two-room apartment comfortably sleeping 4 people, at a 5* level.
What you get is an amazing upscale apartment, at an unrivaled location. No lobby, no restaurant (nor room service, of course), no concierges. You do get daily cleaning, however, and fresh towels every day, just like a hotel. OTOH, this is not exactly an apartment where you can cook your own food, as if anybody would want to do that anyway in this culinary heaven, but you can eat in, as we did for breakfasts, making cofee using the room facilities, and bringing stuff from the wonderful bakery or the supermarket just downstairs. And... oh... yes. Free wifi.
All this would have been enough for at least a "very good" grade. The clincher was the wonderful communication with the owner and the total transparency. Everything was exactly as described by the owner - I asked him everything to the most minute detail over email, and thus there were no surprises, and all the expectations were met.
All-in-all. This is a real cant-miss setup
