From the first interaction with Giuseppina at booking, we had a great experience with this part of our trip. This was the 3rd and final location of a family trip around Europe and by far our best apartment. Giuseppina was an excellent host, quick response, able to book airport transfers as well as an awesome 3 hour "Hidden Rome" private guided tour. The apartment was beautiful and very high standard. The location was excellent, just a 5 minute stroll from the Colosseum and all the other ancient Roman parts of the city. Easy access to public transport and an abundance of fantastic restaurants in the area (ask Giuseppina to recommend, the first night she booked us a table on arrival at a brilliant restaurant). If ever back in Rome I would stay nowhere else.
From the point of booking to our departure, the host was engaged and helpful throughout the entire process. The property was immaculate and included everything we had expected in the unit plus a few items we did not like sparkling and still water, snacks, coffee, and tea. We stayed with our family of four two teens and it was absolutely ideal. The host provided us with information on the surrounding area in advance and also had a book for us to refer to which came in handy as we dined close to the house two nights we were in town. I give this property and host 5 out of 5 as it was well deserved.
Guiseppina is a gracious hostess. She helped us with drivers, tour guides and she had great recommendations for food. She was detailed in her instructions and the apt. was immaculate and close to many landmarks.
This rental is perfect in every way. The owner is amazing. Giuseppina is reliable, organized, friendly, generous and pays close attention to detail. The rental is beautiful, actually looks like the photo, extremely clean and kept in great condition. It has everything one needs, including two bathrooms. It is within easy walking distance to the Colosseum, only 5 mins, and longer but very easy walks to many other sights.
If we returned to Rome, would definitely stay here again. Thank you Giuseppina!
Giuseppina's apartment is a very short walk to the Colosseum, great area with late-night restaurants and transit nearby. Apartment was very well kept and comfortable, in charming old building with lovely courtyard. What really set our experience in Rome apart, though, was Giueseppina, who was so incredibly helpful - arranging a first class reasonably priced private tour for us of Vatican/St. Peter's with a terrific guide, outstanding responsiveness throughout and importantly, on check in and departure, arranging transport, and even helping me figure out how to print tickets both for Ryan Air flight and Vatican trip.Thank you Giu - our pleasure to say, "Five Stars"!
We booked Casa de Bine after seeing the really good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. From the start Guiseppina was really helpful and kept us updated. She arranged transport to and from the airport which saved so much hassle.
She met us at the apartment and helpfully showed us how everything worked etc.
The apartment was spotless and was really comfortable. The location is only 5 mins from the colosseum and in between 2 metro stations. It’s easy enough to walk to all the main tourist sites from there. There are lots of mini markets and a carrefour which has everything. There’s also lots of really lovely restaurants very close to the apartment.
I would definitely recommend Casa De Bine for a trip to Rome.
Tip - take a drinks bottle and top up from the many free water fountains around the city.
We decided to book a holiday in Rome for a week so that it would give us time to see the sights as well as having time to rest and visit the beach. There were five of us and we chose Casa di Bine due to the location and the previous excellent reports written regarding this property. Before we went, Giuseppina arranged for both the taxi from the airport and for two guided tours (mentioned shortly). On arrival at the airport, the taxi driver was waiting, and he then rang ahead for Giuseppina to meet us. After a short, but informative discussion on the apartment and local amenities / activities we were ready to start our holiday.
As I mentioned earlier, Giuseppina had arranged for two guided tours, one was Hidden Rome and the other a tour of The Vatican Museums. Both were done by a fantastic guide called Giusy. Her knowledge and attention to detail was incredible. Having a guide for the family was a big advantage, as it allowed us to ask questions and go at a pace that suited the family (it did get a bit hot due to the heatwave throughout Europe). I would also recommend the Hidden Rome tour as it gave you a chance to both familiarise us of the local area as well as seeing things we wouldn’t have even noticed on our own.
We also visited a beach just outside Rome. The train fare was only 1.50 Euros each way per person and easy to get to. Just a note that the beaches are private, so you had to pay to get on them, something we were aware of before we went.
Back to the Apartment. As I said fantastic location, very quiet, nice and cool and the amenities were superb, therefore we give it an excellent rating. Also, to have a view of the Colosseum when you look left out of the courtyard is a sight one will not forget.
The restaurants and cafe’s in the area are numerous and everyone we found to be very good. The Carrefour near the Colosseum was great for drinks etc. and there was a small café across the street which did a variety of Croissants.
Regarding the assistance given to us by Giuseppina. She not only helped us in the way we mentioned above, she also booked us a taxi for the Vatican due to a strike by the public services and allowed us to keep in contact via WhatsApp if we needed to.
Overall a fantastic holiday and even after a week, we still need to go back as we have not still seen everything we like to see.
