We found this restaurant through a little research and were not disappointed. I stopped by at 7pm to change the day of our reservation, and interrupted the owner during dinner - rather than asking one of his staff to help me, he got up and took care of me himself. The setting is small tables intimately arranged in small rooms. The service is exceptional without being obsequious - water and wine glasses are never empty, dishes seemingly come and go magically and the waiters are friendly and warm even for non-Italian speaking Americans like us. The menu is varied and the food was delicious, and certainly some of the best we have had in Rome. The prices, while high, are reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber and this degree of service. ($325 for 4 people with 1 bottle of wine). Every staffer wished us a Happy New Year on our way out, including the owner, who helped us don our coats.
