Our last night in Rome our hotel made us reservations at Sora Lella. Boy were we glad! The place is small and has a great authentic feel. The food was amazing. Definitely try Momma's Meatballs and the Oxtail. The Tiramisu was probably the best dessert I've ever had!! The owner spoke to us and made our experience complete. Great family values. We'll be back one day for sure.

We went here after arrving late in Rome on a Sunday and not expecting anywhere to be open.
It was open and we weren't the last people to arrive either.
Proper family run restaurant that has been running since 1946 - with a some menu items remaining from the earliest days.
The famous meatballs were spectacular, but so was everything else we ate as well.

Sounds so good, and looks nice too. Friendly waiters, but poor food quality. It may be that this is classic roman kitchen, but to me it was dull. Hard pasta with bacon/pigs cheek. Tasteless, bland veal ragout. Too salty, not tender saltimbocca. To top it up we waited one hour for the saltimbocca.

Having read about this restaurant on trip advisor, some friends and I decided to give it ago on our last evening In Rome, so glad we did! The food was amazing and so authentic and quirky offering a great choice for all palettes! We turned up rather late half expecting to be turned away however, the were very accommodating and set us a lovely table up rather quickly. Our waiter was very sweet and real pleasant even though our Italian is rather bad and his English was too we got by perfectly. Best meal of our holiday and the wine was lovely! Best tiramisu I have EVER had. Great atmosphere full of Italian families who were all very friendly. You know the food will be great when it's full of locals! A must when in Rome!

Loved the food here. Also we saw this place on Bourdain's Layover. Lunchtime crowd today was not too busy. Able to walk in and dine. The 3 starters we tried were amazing. Meatballs, croquettes, cheese. All wonderfull. Mains were not quite perfect. Chicken was slightly dry. Rolled
beef was very tasty though. Baked ricotta dessert also impressed. I would come again for the starters alone.
