I am sorry to say, but this was by far our worst restaurant experience ever. First of all the restaurant has way too many tables for its size, which means too little space, too much noise and stressed waitors who dont have time to care for their guests. The antipasti was ok, but how wrong can you go with ham, salami, cheese etc.. The secondi was a disaster! We both ordered veal but with different sauce and sides. The meat was dry and had no flavour at all, and the sauce was just a slimy mix without taste. The mushrooms was from tin. The service was very poor. The waitor threw the knife and fork on the table while he spoke to another guest. The wine recommended crashed with the food. We also noticed two other groups of guests that seemed to share our opinion.

My boyfriend and I where looking for a good place to eat in Trastevere. As the choice is pretty big there it is especially hard to find the "best" one. The Alle fratte di trastevere was one of the first ones we spotted. It was a great choice. The Italian Antipasti was very tasty. Also the pasta tasted fantastic. The best was the desert. The panna cotta just tasted delicious.

This restaurant is very typical. Service is excellent and all the food is very good. Wine is not that expensive, they have a Montepulciano rosso at 10,5 Euros.

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We came across it by accident while strolling around Trastevere. The food was excellent and seemed authentic. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Prices were reasonable, 2 Courses each, 1 Mixed Salad and half litre of house wine €41
