“Single Room Review - Room #5”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

If you are a light sleeper - positively avoid this room. The smallest sound at night is echoed, even
a receptionist chair movement. Otherwise - perfect spot for a singe person, small but efficient.
Pros: clean room and modern clean bathroom, comfortably firm bed (not too firm), internet works perfectly, modern accents from IKEA. Well, of course, a cappuccino by your bedside, safety - 5 meters from the door is a receptionist desk - 24/7, and the hotel staff, all of them, are wonderful and helpful.
Contras: overhead light might be more cheerful, and, like was mentioned by almost every review for this room - a lack of audio insulation.
Tips: no credit card for metro ticket/max change is 6 E (do not insert 50E bill :)).
There is a deli/minisupermarket across the street (one block farther from the square) - cheese, cold cuts, sweets, even vino in the fridge.
International phone call to US - 10c/minute - two doors on the right side from the hotel door.

I only had 2 days here but the owner couldn't enough to help me, going beyond all expectations of helpfulness. He even insisted that I continue to use the room beyond the usual checkout time. It is located within walking distance of a lot of the sights. The room was small and clean. Everything worked. The bathroom was nice. Hearing other people walk around is always a problem in these little places. The breakfast was fantastic. It was difficult to find at first but it's like a lot of these kinds of accommodation you press the buzzer and they will let you in.

Customer service is top notch! Toni and her team lives and breathes attention to detail and customer care. I would definitely recommend this hotel. If we have the opportunity to stay in Rome again, we would not think twice in staying at Auditorim di Mecenate again and again and again.

After flying 27 hours with barely any sleep, we arrived at the Auditorium immediately greeted by the lovely lady (her name escapes me). She straight away offered us a glass of cold water and spend some time just chatting to us and working out exactly what it was we wanted to do in Rome. We only had two days in Rome, and she mapped out both days for us and recommended fantastic restaurants. All the staff were so helpful in booking things for us, finding out info, etc etc.

The room was exactly what we needed, it wasn't large, but it was clean, had air con, was quiet, safe and fairly modern.

BEST VALUE FOR MONEY. BEST SERVICE. Could not rate this hotel any better.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. When checking in, we knew it was too early for our room to be ready, we were both recovering from a big night and had flown in at 5am. Mirela informed us our room was ready and even sent breakfast in to us. She provided us with a detailed map and circled which attractions are best seen in groups and at certain times. She was warm and welcoming and just what we needed. She gave us a list of restaurants, not just popular ones but authentic ones she eats at, all they ones we went to were well worth it!! The room was clean and well appointed. My only fault would be that one morning there was no hot water, but it was back by the afternoon. We were woken on the last night by a rude guest in another room yelling into the phone at 6.30, but as long as everyone is courteous and keeps the volumne at a respectable level you don't know anyone else is there. There is lift access and it was located close to everything major we wanted to see.

My fiancé and I stayed here for four nights in September. We had a great stay, the room we were in was a little on the small side but was clean, fresh and functional. The breakfasts served in the room are good too and you get a little fridge which is great for keeping drinks etc cold overnight. Although I would have liked some fruit or yoghurt with the breakfast.

The thing that really makes this place is the staff. They could not have been better, every single one of them was friendly, full of ideas of things to do, restaurants to eat in, ice cream places to visit, tips for skipping queues and spoke perfect English. They really made our trip to Rome and helped us make the most of it, despite the rain.

Thanks for a fab holiday Auditorium di Mecante!

Me and my girlfriend were staying in Rome for a couple of days before we headed out for a wedding in the Rocca Di Papa area. We chose this place based on the reviews we read on trip advisor and were definitely happy we picked this one. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Toni who basically helped us from here out organising our short stay in Rome from what we should see to how to queue jump at the Vatican and the Colosseum and she even booked a taxi for us in Italian to where we needed to get to so we wouldn't get ripped off. This place is perfectly located near the Colosseum and on the metro and is perfect for a short city break. The staff made our trip we have recommended this place to family and friends. I have never written a review on here but have been compelled to do so by this perfect place.
