We loved staying at San Daniele Bundi House. We stayed for 3 nights and this is just the perfect hotel for couples, friends and families who plan on visting Rome for a city trip. You walk only five minutes to the Colosseum or to Forum Romanum or the Monumento Vittorio Emanuele II. We didn't use public transport at all excepet for getting to the hotel from Termini station and even that we could have walked if we wanted to. Breakfast is not included but as I heard Italians are not really into breakfast and since we didn't necessarily needed it, that was fine with us. Andrea and Celeste are very pleasant people, they gave us lots of tips about sightseeing, restaurants etc. We could even use our room to store the luggage at the last day and because we couldn't find a mailbox in the city, we wrote them a note and asked them to take the postcards with them next time they went to the post office, which was really really nice of them. The rooms are tidy, get cleaned every day, towels can get changed every day if wished for. The bathroom was very small but sufficient. We had a quiet room. And we actually didn't find it very difficult to find the hotel, when you know the adress all you have to do is ring the right bell. It's a great hotel if you're on low budget, perfect location, great owners, good rooms (we slept very good) - we definitely recommend it!! Thanks Andrea and Celeste

Room Tip: We had a room that went out to the backyard. It was very quiet.

As far as location is concerned, this spot just can't be beat. We visited for New Years, and the celebration around the Roman Forum and Coliseum was literally outside our door. This small hotel consists of just a few rooms and is a short block walk from the Forum, Coliseum and Vittoriano. The neighborhood behind the hotel has some very charming streets and makes for lovely walking at night. We stayed in Room #1. The room is small but normal for most European standards. Our window did open to the street which could be noisy through the night and in the morning, but that is acceptable considering the prime location. The bed was okay, not lush but not uncomfortable. Considering the extreme affordability of the hotel, visitors must make some concessions regarding luxurious linens and fluffy pillows. The same goes for the bathroom. It is quite tiny, and no bath products are offered. It consists of a single sink, toilet and very small shower. A very large individual would have difficulty maneuvering around inside of the shower. A hand held shower head made things a bit easier. It was very clean. My only complaint would be that a sewer odor floated up from the shower drain often. We placed a damp towel over it and kept the bathroom door closed when not in use. I think this could be rectified with a new trap installed in the shower drain. Al, in all, this is a good spot for families looking for a prime spot and affordability, especially if you need to rent several rooms to accommodate everyone.

It is located in a very convenient place for sigt-seeing. Generally, it is a great place to stay in Rome, however, the reception closes at 4 pm, and it is quite difficult to find as you go on the street.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 nights in June. When we arrived we were greated by a friendly staff member and given a map. They pointed out all the must-sees and we were on our way! The hotel had a great location (5 min walk to colosseum, right by the Metro and many bus stops). The first two days we walked everywhere (Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Borghese Gallery), basically because we were just lost, but it is do-able lol. We quickly figured out the bus system and got everywhere within a few minutes. This hotel was up 4 flights of stairs (the staff was nice enough to carry my suitcase) and the air worked great! We had a room facing a small side-street and had absolutely no noise! We even had a mini fridge which was great for some snacks and wine from one of the many little markets along the street. The room was larger than I expected and had a ton of outlets (sometimes uncommon in budget hotels). Everything was clean and this hotel was everything that I needed for my stay in Rome. I would definately stay again. Only downfall was the Wifi didn't work when we were there, but the staff gave us the login information for the wifi by reception and we were able to go there and use it at any time.

Room Tip: We faced a small side-street/alley and had no noise at all from outside.

Basic accomodation that didn't really match the reception photo but nevertheless a good budget conscious choice, quiet and centrally located near the colosseum and forum. Staff were present only during the day but were helpful with airport pickups and advice.

We booked this Hotel for three reasons - location, airconditioning (Rome is soooo hot in Summer) and free WiFi. Location and Airconditioning were excellent. WiFi not so good - dropped out continually and often just wouldn't connect. But putting that small gripe aside this is a really lovely little place to stay - very simple, no frills but good, clean rooms, good bathroom, adequate breakfast was included and provided at a nearby Cafe. The owners/managers are wonderful - very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this Hotel to anybody looking for a simple place to stay that is brilliantly located. Despite the location on Via Cavour our rooms were quiet (with the windows closed).
