Prologo: I lived in Rome for nine month some years ago and I'm currently used to have one night per week in hotel there for work (living now in Milan), having said that the best way to live Rome as a Romanian citizen (more than in other cities WW) is through apartment and/or (if the case, like mine one, with a child or for a very short period) a B/B, and this is one of the best in town for cleaningless, position and quality/price of the service
Guess I'll not forget the cake found (even if they were not aware of...) the morning of my b-day and the courtesy of the owner (her green eyes too...)

Room Tip: #3, the orange one, is pretty big and quiet

Hi, my name is Gosia, I am from Poland and in November I went to Rome. I would like to share my experience in Domuc Victoria.
It was not the first time I was traveling in Italy or in Rome but I must say that Domus Victoria is one of the best place where I’ve ever stayed so far. I was in Domus Victoria few days and I would reccomend that place to you not only because of its perfect localition enabling you to organise your sightseeing tours but also for the very high standard which makes your stay absolutly comfortable. Victoria is situated in the center, close to metro station or bus stop. From Roma Termini it will take you only a few minuts to reach that place.
Rooms are very clean and fully furnished. At the reception desk you can find all information that you want (maps, pictures, guidebook). After the breakfast which is served in the morning you will not get hungry until evening! Delicious, real italian cappuccino and what is the most important every day fresh home made cake! Amazing.
Giorgia - who is managing and taking care of everything for sure will make you stay more pleasant. She is always very helpful and can give you all information requested and suggest the best place to visit in Rome or the best restaurant to have a nice italian dinner.
A special big thank to You Giorgia that you took care of my stay and made it unforgettable experience.
I highly recommend you to choose Domus Victoria and I am sure you will spend a wonderful . For sure next time I will be visiting Rome I will stay again in Domus Victoria!
Dziekuje i do zobaczenia!
Gosia

The ladies working there were very friendly and helpful. The B&B is well located, 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum and 15 minutes from the center. The Metro is 1 minute away. Rooms are nice and clean. Good value for money.

we stayed in Domus Victoria Guesthouse for three nights on september of 2013. our staying was great! the location is very good, you can walk every were and if you dont want to, the metro is just next to the hotel. The hotel is also 5 minutes walk from Termini station. i should say that the neighborhood is not the best one but we didn't mind. the stuff was amazing, bouth Flavia and Sandra helped us in any way they can! we had everything we needed in the room including books about roma and italy. There is no air con in the room, but there is a fan- and you don't need more than that. Breakfast is served in a coffie place just next to the hotel. If we'll ever go back to Italy we'll stay there again for sure!

We are a young couple and we were visiting Rome at the end of April. We had a great stay at Domus Victoria. It has a great location, about 15 min from the Colosseo, 10 min from Termini station, 3 min to the subway and a lot of bars/restaurants are near. We had no problem with finding it, but we had received some directions form Flavia and had followed the google map before the arrival ;) The service was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and quite spacious. There was very quiet inside (I don’t even know if we had any neighbors, it was SO peacefully), but a lot of noise was coming from the street, so it was hard to have the window open at night. Generally, we really liked this place and we would come back there if we visit Rome again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The new management of the renewed Domus Victoria Guesthouse started in October 2013, inheriting a tradition of courtesy and friendly hospitality from the previous administration. The host is now Giorgia, a girl in love with her town, who runs the place with a big smile and accuracy of details; the help of her family and her Mom's biscuits help creating a homely atmosphere. Then there's Sandra: a pillar of the Guesthouse, with her kind willingness to help and give advice to our guests. An equipped kitchen where Italian sweet breakfast is served in the morning and a small, cosy balcony (for smokers) are the common spaces of the Guesthouse. Free tea and coffee are available at any time together with fresh fruit of the season. A wi-fi free connection is at disposal for guests h24. Our staff is always willing to suggest activities in town that can match your interests. The notice board at the entrance is up to the date with current expositions, events and concerts. Domus Victoria welcomes its guests in five private rooms with bathroom and all comforts. Pieces of art are hanging from the walls matching a simple and warm furnishing. All rooms are luminous and, although the nearness to the lively Piazza Vittorio, the insulating windows ensure a quiet sleep. Private fridge, water boiler, t.v., hairdryer and ceiling fan are provided in every room. A free service for our guests: a mobile phone with rechargeable Italian number is available on demand. The neighborhood has recently been elected by writers, directors and actors as the pilgrimage destination that fulfills their need for inspiration. Despite its chaotic appearance Piazza Vittorio is the place where changes are happening in Rome, where a modern multi-ethnical society is rising and the future of this town is constantly within your sight, still surrounded by the ancient, unchangeable vestiges of our glorious history. Domus Victoria is your home in the heart of the real Rome. The neighborhood Esquilino is one of the most colorful and exciting places in town: the gardens with their Magic Door, the market, the food... Built on a hill between the Central Station and Colosseo, it is placed in a tactical position from where everything is within walking distance: the fancy Rione Monti, the crowded University district, the hipster quarter Pigneto as well as the monumental ancient Rome and the main Churches. Vatican is easily reachable by underground in about 15 minutes. Termini Train Station can be reached on foot in 10 minutes. ... more   less
