“Comfortable, Clean and a great place to base your Rome Holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Casa La Salle is very clean, very comfortable. The WiFi works very well and is free. You never really hear anybody other guest whist inside your room perhaps the odd footstep or two. There is a good selection in the Bufffet Breakfast room, which itself was immaculately clean and tidy.. The grounds it sits in are well kept and all within a safe and secure boundary.. The complex is huge and even has it's own large church in the center, but I think as it is an ex monastery and still has connections with the church some may be put off....Please don't though as we were made to feel very welcome by all of the staff, our towels were renewed daily, our room was cleaned daily and the bed sheets also changed daily, a faultless service.. The air conditioning unit works well, especially if you leave it on all day with the window shutter down. We had no complaints about any aspects of our stay there.. You can get a taxi back from Rome for about 12 euros or the hotel is a five minute walk from the Metro Cornelia Line A.
The hotel was part of our holiday and it did not disappoint at all. many thanks to all at Casa La Salle.

Room Tip: The Hotel is set back on a main road but you do not hear it at all, so any room is fine.

Casa La Salle is great value for money and easy to get to from Rome's Metro line A. The area is on the western outskirts of Rome and last but one from the end of the Metro line A at Cornelia station. Being near the end of the line it meant that you always got a seat on the journey into Rome as it is the second stop. This is particularly helpful on the way back to Ciampino airport as it is around 40 minutes for this journey to Anagnina Metro station and a seat is preferable I can assure you. I felt that the area was very safe as i arrived late at night in the dark but was given directions by the locals who were all very friendly. The hotel is very clean with en suite bathroom with a decent shower. The breakfast is basic and the same every day but is included in the price. The staff were all very nice and helpful with any queries you had. the one thing that did confuse me about the accommodation was the entry system. I was not aware of how to gain entry to the complex initially but their is a gate that you just press the button and you gain entry or exit. Would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Rome great value for money and a quiet area with easy Metro access to the city

I have been a guest at Casa Lasalle countless times. Every time, the experience is superb. The safe complex is situated a few metres away from the Metropolitana (underground train service), it is very well-connected. The reception is available 24 hours, rooms are decently-sized and clean, with all facilities and comforts you look forward to after a day of touring around the eternal city. The premises are surrounded by a large private garden making it possible to enjoy a relaxing walk. A good breakfast is included and served at the restaurant and it is also possible to book lunch and/or dinner. While not being strong on variety, the food is good and reasonably priced. Wired internet is available in the rooms and WiFi is available in public areas of the complex.

All in all, Casa Lasalle offers a wonderful experience whether you are a tourist, a pilgrim, a retreatant or a conference participant. I cannot but recommend without any reservations.

Nice place, very close to the metro station which is crucial in Rome. A little bit quirky though, feels like a monastery (maybe it is a previous monastery? Don't know.). It's very big and spacious, a great place for a bigger event e.g. a conference. For individual guests traditional Italian breakfast - croissants, coffee, scrambled eggs. People used to having big breakfasts may be a little bit dissapointed. We've had a reall good time, there are good restaurants in the neighbourhood, wi-fi, tvs. Worth going, finding something that good in Rome for that price is nearly impossible.

We are just back from a 9 day stay in Rome at Casa La Salle.

If you want to go out off the city centre which is over crowded en a lot off trafic noise after a whole day walking and looking this is the place to be.

It's a Christian School from 1936.
The place is a hidden treasure, because there's a nice park around the complex, some sport fields
We have had two rooms.
A normal one and a corner room which was bigger.
The rooms are basic bath room and shower but this one is not bigger than a laptop screen.

The continental breakfast was fine.
A cross the Hotel you will find a market place and next to that some restaurants and a big supermarket.
One the left outside the gate you will find a excellent ice shop and some mini markets.
Walking further about only 5 min you will find a MC Donald.

Across that cross point a perfect bakkery and left the Metro Cornelia.
Also my favorite Italian restaurant you will find there, see my other review.

So everything you need you will find it on walking distance.
The positive are that the price quality off Casa La Salle is excellent.
Also the prices around are very good.
Even we preffered to take our dinner in this area, better quality and low prices.

We were so happy that we could relax within Casa La Salle.
There's even a church.

Are there improvement things.
Yes there are there's one elevator and was twice out off service.
It took too long to repair it.

Travelling with a 81 year lady which has to bring there suitcase downstairs ,I'll think it's a must to help her.
Nobody from the reception would help us.
Also the toilet doesn't work twice.
The airco als works only in the high season and there were some pretty hot days.
On our leaving day there was no hot water in the early morning.

With other things the reception was very helpfull.

We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are bigger

We stayed as part of a school pilgrimage to Rome and I was really impressed with the facilities on offer. All rooms were clean and had everything you needed for a stay.

The restaurant food was great and we never went hungry. We had breakfast and evening meal at Casa La Salle and I can honestly say I do not have a complaint.

I would recommend to anyone intending on a trip to Rome.

The metro is only a short walk away with the Vatican only 4 stops away.

Casa La Salle was the perfect quiet hideaway in Rome. The rooms were small (dorm style) but certainly more than adequate, with a bathroom and shower in each room. The grounds were beautiful, and the breakfast served in the morning was quite filling (for us). Meats, cheeses, cereal, fruit, buns, pastries, coffee drinks, teas, etc. The Casa was also a short walk away from a Metro station which opened up the rest of Rome to us. It was also a short walk away from one of the best restaurant's we ate at in Rome (Joseph's). We will definitely stay there again.
