Casa La Salle - Casa per Ferie
Ranked #465 of 1,272 Hotels in Rome
Reviewed February 17, 2013 via mobile

We stayed as part of a school pilgrimage to Rome and I was really impressed with the facilities on offer. All rooms were clean and had everything you needed for a stay.

The restaurant food was great and we never went hungry. We had breakfast and evening meal at Casa La Salle and I can honestly say I do not have a complaint.

I would recommend to anyone intending on a trip to Rome.

The metro is only a short walk away with the Vatican only 4 stops away.

Casa La Salle was the perfect quiet hideaway in Rome. The rooms were small (dorm style) but certainly more than adequate, with a bathroom and shower in each room. The grounds were beautiful, and the breakfast served in the morning was quite filling (for us). Meats, cheeses, cereal, fruit, buns, pastries, coffee drinks, teas, etc. The Casa was also a short walk away from a Metro station which opened up the rest of Rome to us. It was also a short walk away from one of the best restaurant's we ate at in Rome (Joseph's). We will definitely stay there again.

Casa La Salle, is the best hotel to stay when in Rome. Nice, clean, safe, good price hotel. Excellent location, 5 minute walk from the nearest Metro Station. All around good restaurants near bye, as well as a local supermarket for your daily needs. Do stay here if you want a really good deal. Bathrooms are small, no TV (But who needs one in Rome?) Wifi only in the reception. Staff is always ready to help you, everybody speaks English, no curfue and all around greatness and commodity.

Casa La Salle is a wonderful value in a perfect location! Clean, quiet, close to metro, bus and taxi and with the cachet of the Brothers of the Christian Schools chapel and grounds. Excellent food, spotless rooms, great mattresses and 24 hour security. I have had the pleasure of staying here many times and highly recommend it as an excellent choice in Rome~

Casa La Salle is a gem of a place -- prices are way cheaper and it's value for money. It is located in the main thoroughfare Via Aurelia and the Metro to go to the main sights is a block away. Other public transport is within reach. The accommodations include continental breakfast in a spacious dining room. The hotel is also near several restaurants that offer delicious yet reasonably priced Italian cuisine (GustoSanti, among others). The staff are very helpful and accommodating.
Best of all, the hotel is within the compound of the Headquarters of the Brothers of the Christian School so you can enjoy the vast gardens away from the hustle and bustle of the City. You won't regret choosing Casa La Salle!

My friend and I stayed at Casa La Salle in Rome last Dec 26, 2011 for 5 days. It was very clean and quite. It was close to bus stop and subway. We were a little bit confuse on which button to push to open the gate after a long day going around the city. Before checking in, you need to ask the receptionist which button to push to open the gate so you can come in.

There is no curfew. And you can ask the receptionist a night before for a transportation to the airport. It's not free.

Overall the place is very clean. I would stay again if I visit Rome.

We looked for a hotel in western Rome and found Casa La Salle through other positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We found the catholic guest home near metro Cornelia (line A) to be a pleasant hotel with nice and efficient staff, situated in a lovely park. There was no noise from the busy traffic. Our room was basic, very clean and beds comfortable. Lift to second floor, easy access for wheelchairs to and inside the hotel but a small hill upwards from the park gate. Ample breakfast was served in the restaurant, a large room, somewhat noisy. There was Internet access in day room for e-mail but ban on Facebook and chat sites. Bus 46 a few minutes way from the hotel took us right to the center of Rome, passing the Vatican city.

Room Tip: Very basic rooms only double or single all with adjacent shower/toilet but good value for money (EU...
