“Made The Trip a Huge Sucess”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2009

Just a few short words in praise of Through Eternity tours. Having booked a surprise weekend in Rome for my wife’s 50th Birthday, we started the first full day with Ian as the guide on the Forum & Colosseum tour which was not only very informative but also fun. The only regret was that we were unable to fit any more tours in due to our schedule. Don’t be put of by the prices, having shopped around beforehand not only are they competitive but also well worth the money.

“Ian at the Vatican was worth every penny!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2009

Fortunately my husband had the foresight to book with a tour and order our Vatican tickets online before our trip in July 2009. It was great to walk past the long snaking line of people and enter the Vatican museums with our group.
Ian is simply amazing - he is very personable, funny, smart, charming, athletic, and extremely knowledgeable. He held the rapt attention of everyone in our group, from ages 11-65, as he was able to expertly weave historical facts with interesting anecdotes. Those who want a dry, boring professor-type to list off the bare facts will definitely want to choose another guide! We highly recommend Ian for your tour guide!

“Amazing walking tours - definitely use this company!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2009

I went to Rome in mid-June and did the Through Eternity tours of The Vatican (8hrs), Rome at Twilight and The Colosseum and Roman Forum. The tours were amazing: great value for money, very very informative, the tour guides (especially Justin Southern) are outstanding!!

The tours do sometimes overrun - you can leave if you want but it just shows how dedicated the guides are that they will stay on and answer as many questions as you can throw at them! They have a real passion for what they do!!

“Coloseum, Roman Forum and Palantine Tours with Thomas not as interesting as it could have been”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2009

We found the two tours with Thomas not as interesting as they could have been and recommend checking out other tour operators. The sites were interesting but Thomas's commentary did not follow a logical flow. He also provided too many comparisons to modern history which tended to trivialize the Roman history I felt. It was oppressively hot on the days of the tour and Thomas made no attempt to keep the guests out of the sun while discussing certain aspects of the tour something that was easy to do and would have no diminished the views of these beautiful areas.

“Fascinating tour of the Vatican and St. Peter's”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2009

My husband and I booked a tour through "Through Eternity" in early July as a result of TA recommendations. Originally we were going to do a private Vatican and St. Peter's tour through our travel agent. But the cost was so high (425 euros) that I knew that we'd be thinking the whole time if it was worth the cost or not. I am so glad we decided to book through "Through Eternity" instead. We saved a small fortune and were able to bypass the lines that our travel agent told us we wouldn't be able to avoid. Marle Robinson was a phenomenal tour guide. We started at 10am and didn't end until 5:00 pm, with a lunch break in the middle. Her historical knowledge and enthusiasm were incredible. She was funny, interesting, and very concerned about the comfort of those on her tour. There were about ten of us on the tour and and people had come all the way from Fiji and Guam. Quite a fun group. I can't recommend Through Eternity highly enough, and Marle in particular. Thanks Marle for a wonderful and memorable time.
