Just got back from Italy and have to write about our Vatican tour with Through Eternity. It was fabulous! I had read a lot of reviews in Trip Advisor and am so happy that we went with this group. We wanted a more "indepth" coverage and we got it in spades! A full day to be sure, but Brandon's enthusiasm for his subject made it all come alive and kept us interested all day. Yes, there is a lunch break. We were a family group of 5 and we all enjoyed it! You won't be disappointed, definitely worth the $ and time.

We were recommended this company through some friends of ours who had used them previously. They were very enthusiastic about the guides and now having been on a couple of the tours (Vatican and Ancient Rome) we can see why.

Our guide for the Vatican was Gabriel and I can honestly say that he made the tour so interesting with anecdotes and bits of trivia, along with his fantastic knowledge that I would do the whole tour again. Fantastic.

Took the Vatican tour at start of October. Tour was delayed by an hour due to the fact that the Pope was leaving St Peters to head into Rome. Piazza was closed off so we had to stand in heavy rain and hailstones until he had gone. Tour guides let us know what was going on. Can't complain. Got to see the Pope on our first ever visit to the Vatican so it was actually an added bonus !
Our guide was Brandon, a very knowledgeable and friendly guy from Canada. He took us round to join the queue for the museum which actually wasn't that long and he used this time to explain the history of the Vatican and its relationship with Rome and the wider world. It really set the scene for the rest of the tour.

Once inside he took us to the rooms that contained some of the masterpieces. Far too much to put into a review. Highlights for me were the map room, the Raphael rooms and of courese the Sistine Chapel. Nothing really prepares you for seeing this place. Museums were extremely busy but our guide insisted that we respect the rules about no flash photography and no talking in the Sistine Chapel. He clearly cares about the works contained in the Vatican. Tour finished in St Peters Basilica where you're free to wander at your own leisure.

One thing I would say is that it's a long day. Be prepared to stand up for long periods. There is a welcome break for lunch.

This being my first visit to Rome I have no other tour service to compare this to, however, I felt it was good value for money, very informative, friendly and entertaining. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

Amazing! My boyfriend and I, after careful consultation with Trip Advisor, decided to book the Vatican Tour with Through Eternity as they had such rave reviews - we weren't disappointed! Gabriel (our tour guide) was interesting, informative and kept our group (of approx 12 people) intrigued throughout the 6.5 hour tour (don't worry, we stopped for lunch!). It was the only tour we pre-booked and, considering the cost, both thought it was briliant value for money.

We took a tour across several cities in Europe, including Rome over August 2008. Due to the fast paced nature of our trip, we only had 1 and 1/2 days in Rome! In the future, we have learned our lesson and will spend way more time there! We were worried that we wouldn't be able to see everything that we wanted to in such a short time, so we decided to book a private tour to accommodate our family. After reading such positive reviews online, we decided to go with Through Eternity...this proved to be one of the best decisions of our entire trip!

Every communication with the company was wonderful. They answered all of my questions promptly through email and made a custom tour for our family (9 people ranging from adult to small child). And I cannot say enough about our tour guide Gracelyn!!!!! She was informative, providing more than enough information for one brain to keep track of. I don't think that my teenage boys were ever able to stump her with a question (and boy did they try!). She was energetic, keeping a fast paced and still pleasant attitude all day. You can feel of the love that she has for the city and the enthusiasm she still maintains for every tour that she gives. She went the extra mile in pre-purchasing transportation tickets and tickets into the sites so that we wouldn't have to waste valuable time in lines. We saved hours of waiting in lines simply because she knew the short cuts and made the efforts to pre-purchase where possible. This alone is reason enough to take go with Through Eternity.

Gracelyn extended the tour both days so that we could fit even more into our time slots, which allowed us to see everything on our "must see" list. She kept every member of the family interested and entertained, even using time as we were walking to talk about the sites so no time went wasted. We saw everything from the Vatican, the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, many piazzas, and multiple ancient roman sites. At the end of our short trip, we fell in love with the beauty, history and essence of Rome, and we owe this appreciation of the city soley to Gracelyn and Through Eternity Tours!!! We would never have been able to see as much or especially enjoy it without her help! If you're going to Rome, you absolutely would be crazy to not take a tour with Through Eternity!!
