Going on "Through Eternity tours" added such an incredible depth of understanding and richness to our time in Italy. I cannot say enough about how good this company's tours and more importantly their guides are. The quality and professionalism are obvious the moment you meet them. We went on 4 private tours in Rome and 1 in Florence. They are not boring lectures or recitation of facts ; you really get insight into what you are seeing. It is more like touring with a "good but very knowledgable" friend. I would take any one of the tours/guides all over again they were so enjoyable. There was also a flexibility to spend more or less time in certain areas depending on interest. The tours we took in Rome were: Vatican Museums and St. Peter's - The In-depth Experience" (Federica), The Rome of Julius Caesar and Michelangelo: Roman Forum, Colosseum, and the great piazzas (Alessia), Underground Rome: ancient and medieval" (Katia) and "Borghese Gallery: The Never-ending Experience of Art" (Federica). In Florence, we went on the Essence of Florence tour with Constanza. Worth every penny and a fabulous experience.

We had an excellent tour with Thomas and would highly recommend him. We were fortunate to have him all to ourselves so ours was actually a private tour. We were amazed how much ground we covered and how much we learned. The tour was much more than just a walk among the sites, but more of an in-depth philosphical discussion of life then and now. We had been to Rome many years ago, so this tour was perfect for refreshing our memories of Rome, but also for expanding our knowledge and understanding. We especially appreciated the way Thomas related the history of ancient Rome to our modern world making the past feel closer and more relevant.

Our tours of the Vatican with Katia and the Roman Forum/Colosseum with Luca were incredible. They could answer any question we had, were incredibly knowledgeable and you could tell they LOVED what they do. It was like having a crash course on history from experts in the field. DO NOT go to Rome without booking these two tours with Through Eternity!!

We booked a semi-private tour of the Vatican museums several months before our trip to Rome. It was Good Friday and Rome was packed for Easter. There were 100's of people booked for these early entry tours which allow you in well before the crowds, and literally thousands queuing for general public entry which starts later. Ours required meeting at 7.30 am and going in at 8.30 am.

The tour was first class and Maurizio was an intelligent, knowledgeable, and caring
guide with excellent English.

We particularly liked his idea of starting in the Raphael Rooms before
going to the Sistine Chapel, as it meant we were the only people there! A
great privilege, and more interesting anyway than the Sistine. That was
not too crowded either, as we still got there before the general public.

He gave us time for a coffee when he could see we were flagging, which
enhanced our time in the Pinoteca (main picture gallery), as we were freshened up. Only low point was St Peters which completed the Tour which was crowded and a great crush, like coming out of a football match with thousand pushing and shoving...but nothing the Guide could do about that.

We would definitely recommend the Tour to anyone, including older people
like us. Quite expensive but great value for money for a 5 hour tour.

We bought two tours off their website before we got to Rome. What wonderful experiences! Cinzia Cutrone was just excellent. She took us on the tour that provided early entrance to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. She was efficient, very knowledgeable, had a great background of history and took great care of her group. She knew all the important spots to focus on and our entire group felt we received great value and outstanding information for this semi private tour! Thanks, Cinzia!
