“Three wonderful tours in Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012

On the advice of our hosts (Nicolas Inn), we took the Palatine Hill, Fountains and Piazzas at night, and 3 hour Vatican tours. All three were wonderful. Our guides (Michael, John and Leonardo) were informative, helpful, and friendly. We only had 1.5 days in Rome, and this was definitely the best way to maximize our time. The cost was reasonable and the groups were small, too. Highly recommended!

“Borghese Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

Giovanni led our tour of the Borghese Gallery and he was great! Very infomative and concise, given the large museum. His wealth of knowledge was impressive and I would definitely recommend him and your company in the future. There only ended up being 4 of us on the tour that day, so the one on one interaction was great. The cost is well worth it. Meeting at the assigned point was easy and Giovanni had already purchased our tickets, so just paid him directly. Grazie!

“Excellent Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

Having been on a brief tour of the Vatican Museum [off a cruise ship] previously, I had chosen this tour primarily because its later start assured we could get to the museum on time. The 5 hour length seemed ambitious, but I thought we could always leave early. This tour was a highlight of our Italy trip: Guido was so very knowledgeable and informative-I felt we had a mini Art History course that helped us understand so much more of the sites we visited thereafter in Venice as well!

This was easily the best tour, and also the best value of any tour I have taken. The small size of the group was also a plus. I would certainly recommend ThroughEternity without reservation.

“Excellent guides, great places”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

We took two tours with Through Eternity. The first was with Caterina Panetta on a 5 hour Vatican tour (plus time for lunch). Caterina is very knowledgeable in art history and provided experiences we would never have had on our own. We had 10 people (out of a possible 15) in our group so it was a comfortable size. Eugenia really knows her way around the Vatican. She showed pictures of the Sistine Chapel and explained all about it for about an hour in the large courtyard at the beginning of the tour. It was a long time standing but very worthwhile as we knew what we were looking at when we were inside the Chapel. She had an impressive English vocabulary as well.
The next day we went on a semi-private tour of the Underground Colosseum with Eugenia D'Andrea. There were only 4 of us on this tour. We toured around the Arch of Constantine area then went to the Colosseum where we first went underground. Regular ticket holders can't go there so we were the only people there. Then we went to the top level of the Colosseum before a lunch stop and then to the Roman Forum. The tour was 5 hours plus lunch break. This tour also was very worthwhile and I would highly recommend the Underground Colosseum as there is so much to see that is missed on the regular Colosseum tour. Eugenia was an excellent guide. Both Through Eternity guides were very knowledge, spoke excellent English, knew their subjects extremely well and provided a lot of information in an interesting tour. I had read of Through Eternity on Tripadvisor and in Rick Steves' books and would highly recommend the company.

“Well worth every penney”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2012

We are fortunate in that we can travel independently very often. We hardly ever do tours but decided that this would be our one time in Rome and we should get as much out of it as possible. We (4 adults) did private tour of the Vatican first, just to test out our theory. After that tour we decided to engage Through Eternity for both Pompei & Herculaneum as well as the Forum & Colosseum. Well worth every penny! Each of the 3 guides was professional, informative & adaptable. We could get into conversations with them about the subject matter rather than just listen; they facilitated movement through crowded area's; we were the only ones in the underground colosseum. They were helpful in other areas - restaurants, driving back to Amalfi, etc. In my opinion, if you want to really learn about something rather than just see it, engage Through Eternity.
