“Nice Hotel but needs upgrading”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

Centrally situated within walking distance of the Collosseum. Rooms are average, however, being located overlooking the sports facilities at the back of the hotel, it can be rather noisy. Our room included breakfast which was acceptable. The staff are extremely pleasant and always willing to assist you. However, the hotel does need some upgrading. All in all a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Only book rooms overlooking the street. Rooms overlooking the sports facilities at the back are noi...

Good hotel located on a quiet side street and only a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum and 15-20 minute walk to the main train station. Our room was located at the front of the hotel looking over the street but we it was still very quiet. Room wasn't huge but it didn't matter as we were out site seeing all day. Beds were very comfortable. We thought the A/C wasnt working as the control panel in the room was unresponsive however found out from Reception that it is controlled centrally by them and was working perfectly when we returned to the room. The TV does have some English speaking channels (mainly news) but more can be found if you change the language setting by using the remote. The staff were good and were quick at responding to email queries prior to our arrival.

Centrally located around the corner from the Coloseum and near reasonably priced convenience stores, our room was big, especially by European standards, beautiful, quiet, and updated. The staff was amazing and very responsive, the room included breakfast that was fresh, extensive, and delicious. Highly recommend!

Good clean modern rooms, satisfactory and fairly standard but not as good as expected for the price. The location was not central to anywhere, a fairly long walk to the Colosseum and a €20 taxi ride just to the train station (admittedly at 4am). The reception staff were very slow. The tv had no English speaking channels.

We stayed 5 nights and had four rooms. Night one in room 201 noticed a sewer smell in room and A/C wouldn't cool room below 21 celcius. Maintenance never rectified the problem. Night 2 room 205, window came off hinge rendering A/C non-operational. The window was repaired but the A/C control was not operational and it blew full blast for the duration of our trip. Day 3 one of the two elevators malfunctioned and was never repaired. The rooms were clean however and the location was a 10 minute walk to colosseum and a 5 minute walk to subway. Breakfast consisted of machine made coffee and scrambled eggs which did not resemble any eggs I have ever eaten. They did have a reasonable selection of pastries and other items which made it palatable. If they paid more attention to maintenance, the rating would be higher.

Room Tip: stay away from the low number rooms

Sarah & Family - Swansea, Wales - We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in and found it to be entirely satisfactory. With two young children, we found the amenities to be limited but adequate to our needs. The rooms were a good size, with an interlinking suite being perfect for us. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of food on offer. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotels location is excellent for a first trip to Rome.

Room Tip: second floor rooms, even on main road, were quiet and completely satisfactory.

Great value for Money in a good location. 10 minute walk away from the coliseum and also some good restaurants near by. The rooms are smaller than what we are used to, but they were clean. The size of the room did not bother us though as we were on holiday to see Rome and not the inside of a bedroom. Great to have free wi-fi available throughout the hotel and the breakfast was a good standard compared to other continental hotels. The hotel/ reception staff were very helpful and did things immediately for you. Breakfast staff were a little more lazy but hey it was self service so we didn't need much attending to. Hotel is in a quiet location and at the same time not very far from the metro, and bus stops. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
