Our stay at Artorius was nothing short of wonderful, hotel staff were very welcoming and happy to assist with everything. Granted the hotel is slightly aged, but charming nonetheless. My only concern is that the breakfast selection was quite limited with no variation from day to day. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

My husband and I stayed here for 7 nights, and I think this hotel worked out very well for us.

I really like this location for staying in Roma. It is a safe area. There are several good restaurants nearby. We walked almost everywhere, and there is a metro stop nearby to get to other areas. We came by train and even walked to the station. But I don't know if I would recommend that for those that have a lot of luggage. A taxi to the station is only around 10euros.

The hotel was very clean.
Our room was quite large. The neighboring room had a balcony right outside our window. Our neighbors never were out there, but would be a problem if you happened to get stuck next to the wrong people.
It was pretty cool when we were in Roma. The room stayed warm, but the bathroom was freezing.
The staff were very nice.
The breakfast is fine. Cappuccinos and latte macchiatos. I did not care for the croissants, but I don't care for the croissants at most italian cafes anyway, so that is just my opinion. The breakfast area is outside, so it was quite chilly when we were there.
Overall, this is a great hotel for the price. I think most people would enjoy staying here.

Was really happy that I'd found this hotel based on previous reviews. It might only have a couple of star rating, but it has nice rooms (I paid a little more for one of the larger ones , which was downstairs off a little courtyard). It was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I did find I needed an extra blanket on the bed in November, (the floors of the lower, larger rooms are marble and can get a bit chilly, while smaller and carpeted upstairs) but this was provided as soon as I asked and I was then perfectly comfortable. Heating was via the air con unit.
The hotel does not have a restaurant, but a buffet breakfast is served in a marquee type structure in the courtyard in winter and is perfectly adequate.
One of the best things is the location. Only a ten minute walk from Cavour Metro station, which is one stop from Termini. Also only about 10-15 minutes walk from Trevi and the Coliseum and Forum, but despite this in a quiet street. Several nice little local restaurants close by. Would definitely stay here again and recommend wholeheartedly.

Room Tip: Larger rooms on ground floor would be lovely in summer and have patio doors onto a small terrace. Ro...

Hotel Artorius is our favorite place to stay in Rome. The location is good for walking to the major sights and there are a lot of restaurants in the area as well as shopping on Via Nazionale close by. The staff (especially Meemo) is always friendly and helpful, even printing out our boarding passes for us. The rooms are clean and comfortable. For the first time this year Delta didn’t make us get up before dawn to leave for the airport. The breakfast room opens at 7:00 and offers a very nice selection of breakfast foods, including pastries, breads to toast, meat, cheese, yogurts, cereals, juices and a delicious Macedonia fruit salad to name a few. Each cappuccino that you order comes with a different design on the foam. The hotel owner, who speaks very little English, is always around to tend to your needs. They will make good suggestions as to places to eat and will arrange for a car to drive you to the airport if you need one. They help you with your luggage which is something we really appreciate. We were sorry we were only staying for one night as returning to this hotel is something we enjoy. We always feel safe and comfortable here, like staying with friends.
P.S. We always book with the hotel directly with no problems.

Beautiful family-run hotel, located at the heart of Rome. Kind and very helpful family. A pleasant stay with a very atmospheric and intimate atmosphere; felt more historical, like going back in time, which I imagine the higher star modern hotels don't offer.

We were there for two nights and had planned a full on tour of Rome and all it's attractions with meticulous attention to detail. The location of the hotel was perfect. Everything is within walking distance. The Colloseum was right behind us; maybe less than a 15 minute walk away. We walked everywhere, from place to place throughout the whole town. The only time we took the bus was to the Vatican because it's at the other end, separated from other attractions.

The room was very clean, tidy and spacious. The breakfast in the morning is simple and traditional but more than enough! Cold or warm weather, you can sit outside in a nice little terrace, whilst they serve you warm croissants that the owner makes himself every day! The cappuccino is to die for too.

Very lovely people who go out for their way to ensure that you have a pleasant stay. Will definitely be coming back next time!

There's nothing else you could ask for. The Hotel is clean, offers very friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, a good breakfast, many restaurants and attractions in easy walking distance--and they even sell stamps and mail postcards, something no other hotel we encountered in a 5-week trip throughout Italy did.

Advertised rooms on booking.com and expedia.com were available at a discouted rate for 5 night stay, however when we arrived 15 minutes later we were told there were none reserved for online booking, and that any online bookings are double booked.

Receptionist tried to offer us worse price for a partnered BnB.

This isnt the first time for this hotel. And its really not a good experience walking 15 minutes to a hotel with luggage and being played.

30 minutes after leaving, rooms are availble online at a differant rate. Coincidence?
