We got to the hotel in Rome around 8:30 in the evening. We were exhausted from flying a red eye from Los Angeles. We were greeted by Guiseppe who was absolutely fantastic! He spoke perfect english, showed us to our room and around the hotel, then gave us a map of Rome. He showed us where we were on the map then procceded to tell us all the highlights of Rome. It was a great overview. We were tired and very hungry so we asked him where a good place to eat was and that was close by. He told us about a place around the corner that was perfect. After that we continued to ask him where good restaurants were in the area and Guiseppe nailed it every time. They always had great food, the waiters were fun and friendly, family oriented, and not too expensive. I don't think we ever had a bad meal there with his suggestions.

The hotel was small yet very quaint. I must warn you that the rooms are small and the shower was the smallest thing I have ever scene. If you happen to be a larger person good luck getting into it. It must have been 3 feet by 3 feet. The rooms were very clean and decorated very nicely. We had no problems fitting our luggage in the room and still having a little walking space to spread out just a little. We didn't car anyway, because we left in the morning and usually didn't return until late evening. The hotel is in an excellent location too. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Vatican and walking distance from most everything. We couldn't have done better location wise.

The breakfast was great. Croissants, cereal, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, meat, etc. I really enjoyed the traditional Italian breakfast along with the cappacinos and cafe lattes. It made a great start to the day. I just wish they served breakfast a little bit earlier than 8:00, maybe 7:00. The server were so kind and helpful if you asked them for anything and spoke english.

I have to say all the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help us by making reservations, or call a cab for us. What ever you needed they were happy to help us especially Guiseppe. He was our favorite employee there. LOVED him!!!!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel from May 7 to May 10. At first we were a little afraid of what to expect since it was our first time in Rome. The hotel was great and also the people that worked there were so nice and helpful. Giuseppe was a great help he recommended a restaurant that was around the block and it was amazing homemade Italian food. Also the breakfast served in the hotel was my favorite. I would definitely return to this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. Great location near all the Italian restaurants where the locals dine.

This was a wonderful surprise. Located ten minutes north of Vatican, or 15 mins from Piazza del Popolo or Piazza Nevona, and five minutes from Metro. On the west side of Tiber so away from the crowded centre...do your sightseeing then cross back to the other side and see the Rome that Romans live in. On a quiet side street, take an elevator to the fourth floor and meet Daniel and/or Guiseppe, both very friendly and very knowledgeable...great recommendations for dinner, and places to see. They suggested for our next visit to contact them directly for best rates!!

Room tip: 408 close to breakfast and facing inside courtyard, very quiet

We spent 3 nights at Relais dei Papi and were extremely pleased. The staff were incredibly, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The location was amazing. A quick walk to the Vatican, restaurants and shopping. The trip was for our honeymoon. Breakfast was included and was quite good. The room was clean and comfortable with a safe to protect valuables. Would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on our next trip to Rome.
