“Central location”
Reviewed June 30, 2012

This is a no frills yet efficient hotel in a great location. The hotel is 5 minute walk from the train station and near bus lines. Not much going on in the neighborhood which is full of embassys. There is a pharmacy on the corner and enough trattorias and ristorantes near by if you don't want to travel far to eat. The metro B is a couple of blocks away (the A metro is at the train station). The hotel has a very tiny 3 person elevator, 2 people if you have luggage. The desk staff spoke limited english but were very friendly and helpful. The room did have good air conditioning, a small desk with a chair and a small fridge. No safe in the room. The bathroom was very narrow. The rooms are reached through a central "big room" that has couches and chairs, it would be nice for families traveling to stretch out. You get a ticket for breakfast (a roll and coffee) which you redeem at a "bar" about 2 blocks away.

Room Tip: The front desk is not always available (behind locked door) Limited english spoken Quiet neighborh...

this hotel is close to the Termini station where u can take either train, metro or bus to any where. From airport, just take the bus to go straight to this hotel. Staff are ok, not as friendly as we expected; later we found out nearly every place we have been to the staff are like that. But above all, they did a good job. They have a lift, so it is easy to bring your luggage up.

Room Tip: Dont like the breakfast(included). No one mentioned that the breakfast place is far away. We walked...

Perfect place to stay if you will be out and about all day long in Rome. Nothing fancy, clean room, bathroom, free wifi, good service. There are so many things to see in Rome, no need to spend money on an expensive hotel. This hotel is located near a subway stop, and a short walk from the Central station. Breakfast is included for a small charge, but it is in a small cafe 1 block away- just stop there on your way out in the morning.

Short walk to Termini station, perhaps 8 blocks. It was very easy to find the hotel. Our room was clean with fresh linen and bath towels. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I made an inquiry by email the day before checking in, they responded very quickly. The staff provided some much needed help with an airline problem. The hotel is on the 4th and 5th floor of a big building but there is an elevator that gets your floor with just a few stair steps at the ground level and on the 5th floor. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet even with the windows wide open. Hotel stay included breakfast of a specialty coffee and pastry or cake, at a bar just a few blocks away. I have stayed at three other hotels in Rome at the same price level, this is the first one that I will suggest to my friends and I will stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room (105) overlooked a courtyard and was very quiet both day and night. Wireless internet work...

A well-located ( near the Termini Station with good access for city- transport to the most famous historical points in the Eternal City), with clean rooms, Wi-Fi (24 h), TV and surrounded by dozens of markets, hotel "Katty" gives you feeling that you are really in the Rome.

In the heart of Italian capital.

You don't need a very expensive taxi or bus from Termini; you can find it very easy, just take a map and address ( with address you even don't need the map) and you will be there after 15-20 minutes of walking.

The building is in the residential part surrounded by numerous hotels, residential buildings, restaurants and two embassies: Brazilian and Turkish, so I recommend it as a very safe location .

The hotel is on the 4th and 5th floor of the resident building so it gives you unique chance to see how does live ordinary Rome family. I really had great single-bed room (107) with small balcony filled with colorful flowers. The balcony views on balcony of Italian happy family with a small kid, and I could hear how they sing to the kid every day. It was so beautiful. So romantic. I didn't see them but I could feel the harmony of their home. I liked to widely open balcony's door in the morning listening their voices. It wasn't noise. Not at all. It was a song of love. Somewhere in my mind they associate me a scenes with Sofia Loren in old Italian movie, but this time I couldn't see Sofia. Nevertheless, it stays the spirit of romantic Rome.

Small cafe nearby the hotel is place for the breakfast. You can take cappuccino or coffee with croissant or domestic cake. Enough to start new day. Small and romantic cafe in the street where that still exists some places from 1970's and 1980's such as a cinema for adult

There is a small mini-bar and it is allowed guest to bring the own drinks and some foods.

Hotel isn't expensive.

Not at all !

I paid 245 Euros for period of 5 nights with breakfast + city tax + discount ( if you pay cash). Knowing the horrible hotel price in the Rome, this is really affordable option. I am sure you can find cheaper, but be carefully. Cheap hotel in Rome means mutual WC and bathroom. I talked with people that took a room in such hotel and they had to wait in line to go in WC . Horrible. I had private bathroom. New and clean . It is very important, especially when you arrived in your room, tired after long walking around the Rome.

Staff is great.

It is great safety in hotel. I left my lap-top in my room while I was touring the Rome and everything was O.K.

On the leaving of the room they stored my bags, for free, giving me a paper as an evidence about it.

I will back agan to this hotel. I have already recommended it to my international colleagues. It is so good that I reccomend to all of you who will read this.

This hotel was booked as a replacement for one that pulled out on us the day before we were leaving for Rome (water works problems apparently which could be code for we have overbooked, had a better offer, or are going on holiday ourselves as it happened in two locations and it seems hard to believe that coincidence) and we were thus very relieved that although we did not have the time to recommence our research, it was a good choice.
Located next door to the German Embassy up a quieter side street and only 10 minutes gentle stroll from Termini, it was surprisingly quiet. Located on the 5th floor, it was a large room for Rome and the bathroom was clean and relatively new. There was lift access in a small but adequate lift if your luggage is not huge.
At check in we were given tokens to provide each morning to a cafe about 5 minutes walk away in the neighbourhood to have coffee and a pastry for breakfast which was a nice change from eating in the room and a simple start to the day. There is a restaurant two doors down which we went to on one night when we couldn't be bothered going further afield but I found it a bit overpriced for what was served and the meal ended up costing more than the night's accommodation and that was without wine.

Mixed good and bad:
Maybe it was too full. We were required to change room during 2 nights' sleep. It caused us a bit trouble to repack our stuff. Bathrooms are clean though I saw a small thing like cockcroach. Breakfast is so so - the boss in the cafe associated were easy going though there is a typical Italian breakfast included - coffee and pastry. Customer service is so so - one of them are friendly and one is not. Maybe due to the fact that the room is large, we felt cold at night even there is a heater! There is a lift, and only this little hotel only occupied 2 floors of a building.

Good:
Discount was given due to our payment in cash. % is larger than expected. Location is really good. We felt really safe because we can see soldiers stationed around for ambassies around. People said Rome was a dangerous place. Here, I don't think so. I got nearby supermarket and walked around at night was nice.
The rooms are relatively spacious. A really large double beds (combining 2 single beds)
