“Nice stay in before Christmas in Rome”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2012

Condotti Palace Relais was as nice as expected based on other reviews on this site. We did not miss the reception at the Condotti hotel's address and did not mind the different entrance around the corner. ;-)

Our room (double) on the second floor facing inner court yard was small as expected but clean and nicely decorated. Some noise from neighbouring rooms but it did not bother. For me the bed was perfect (memory foam or something like that), but for my huspand it was too hard. Two bedsheets for blankets would be also nice but the room was warm so one was enough. Nice slippers were also provided.

Location is perfect for walking aroung the city. Access from airport is also easy. We took the Leonardo express to Termini station and the metro to Piazza di Spagna. Nice shopping district around the hotel and beautiful Christmas lights everywere.

Last morning we ate the breakfast for 10 € each and should have done that every morning. For that price you get a coffee and croissant only in cafes nearby. Latte can even cost you 7 €. For bargain breakfast, try Autogrill (!) on Via del Corso on your way to Colosseum.

Nice restaurants nearby! I can warmly recommend this hotel to any adult travelling to Rome, families should maybe consider another hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for inner court yard.

My daughter and I stayed at Condotti Hotel in early September 2012. Experience was unforgettable and we felt like at home. Vladimir went out of his way to make our accommodation the best it could be. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Location was perfect! Breakfast delicious and plenty of choices. Located right around the corner from the Spanish steps, and walking distance to Vatican. Vladimir arranged our visit to Vatican, and all we had to do is show up! Pretty amazing for such a short notice for a visit to the world's most visited site. Thank You Vladimir and the rest of the staff! We hope to see you soon again!

We stayed at Condotti Palace near the Spanish Steps. It was wonderful and location was perfect. Several excellent cafes right on same street. The front desk help was awesome with our many questions. My friend forgot one of her medications and there was a pharmacy across the street that didn't understand what we needed. The hotel desk clerk went with us and explained in Italian what we were needing...above and beyond! Room was large and nice.

Room Tip: We were on 3rd floor at the beginning of our trip. Room large and nice. Took train to Venice and Fl...

Condotti Palace is in great location but value for money not worth it. Very close to spanish steps and the historical centre of Rome. Unfortunately too expensive for the standards of the room. First, I was arrived to a building with a locked door. I was waiting for about 15 minutes until somebody arrived and told me that reception was to another building (!!!) The room was extremely small for the standards with a small TV. The bathroom was basic. The staff of the hotel was polite but no good knowledge of english made our conversations difficult. Also the breakfast area is located somewhere else. (Reception, rooms and breakfast area in different buildings !!!) , Cleaning of the room was very good.
Rome is beautiful, must visit city but next time I would prefer another hotel, definitely not worth the money.

Dear Clients,

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay here but in the same time your comment surprise us. We always inform our estimed clientele that Condotti Palace is an aparthotel, the reception and the breakfast room being in the main hotel, only 30 meters far from the Condotti Palace. Many of our guest prefer this last one because offer them more privacy and independence to mouve. We had clients that considerate their stay at Palace like their home! Being so close, we consider that you had exagerated with the time waiting that somebody came to help you with the lugagge.
Our rates are always competitive for the area (Piazza di Spagna, Rome!) and you came in the low season...We have at the reception two english mothertongue people and all the rest of the personal is fluent in english. We are sorry that we do not succeed in your case to open a good communication channel.

We respect you opinion and we thank you for your stay, the next time we suggest you to book a Superior room in the main hotel or may be you should try a 4-5 stars hotel.

Best Regards,

Daniela

judging by the name we expect the location is not far from the famous via condotti and spanish steps...yet the hotel is in the less busy location but surrounded by many restaurants, shops, etc. the staff is very friendly and helpful. they help us bring our many luggage to our rooms in the other buildings....

I just came back for travelling for two weeks around Italy with my husband and we stayed in Condotti Palace only for 1 night, because on our flight back to our hometown was from Rome. We stayed in Rome for 4 days in the first week in different hotel, and decided to pick the hotel near the Condotti in our last day when we returned to Rome. I chose Condotti Palace because of the great location, just few blocks from Via Condotti and Spanish Steps :) and I made a great decision! We checked in at Hotel Condotti, which was on the other side of the block from Condotti Palace.

I am very impressed with the manner of the hotels' staff. The receptions (the lady and the guy, I am sorry I didnt know their names) and the guy who helped us with our (super heavy and big!!) luggages were very helpful, charming and full of smile. We felt very welcome in their hotel. I stayed in few hotels before and there were some of the staff that seemed grumpy and not helpful at all. You will not find those kind of people in Condotti Palace :)

The room was small, probably because I chose the Standard Double Room. But the bed sheets, the floor and bathroom were very clean. The air condition was also working very well.

I would probably come back to this hotel, with ofcourse a bigger room. If you decided to spend some heavy shopping in Rome, this is the great hotel for you. The location is also very near to many cafes and restaurants, and most important, the lovely hotel staffs you rarely find :)

We stayed here for three nights, and this was a great find! Located in a small cobblestone lane in the Spanish Steps area, this place is a hidden gem. It is a secondary hotel to another Condotti around the corner, which you will actually have to find to check in as these rooms are basically in a residential portion of a building above the street level resturants. They bill it as an Apart-hotel, a blend of an apartment and a hotel.

The location is fabulous; close to the Spanish Steps, a metro stop, the trendy high end retail shops which are fun to look at but nothing I would buy! - although I did see a Ferrari Segway styled scooter... lol. Small, narrow den of cobblestone laden lanes filled with quaint eateries with al fresco dining, with local street musicians serenading the diners... picture perfect, really.

The room was just beautiful. Vaulted ceiling w/ exposed hand hewn rafters, two large window sets that opened street side with a very small patio ledge on could go onto to look down at the scene, comfy bed, modern spotless bath, and a sofa/sitting area to toss the backpacks and gear onto.

I felt this was a great win, for the money they charge. I booked direct on their website for the best price. It really felt great coming back to the room and entering thru a residential door on the street; so nondiscrete I felt like I lived there!

Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for your stay and for your beautiful comment! It seems that you had the opportunity to taste and enjoy the roman atmosphere...restaurants, cafèes, "street musicians serenading the diners, the trendy high end retail shops". Our location put you just in the middle of everything...but best of all, we are so glad that you "felt like you lived there!"

We hoping to choose us also for your next visit to Rome!
