The place was amazing! I was expecting one of those simple old places with just the necessary in the room decorated with old furniture and a vintage bathroom and inside of me I as thinking:"..it's only one night!!" Once we got there with my friend we could've believe where we have ended! The entrance was covered with Persian little carpets and we had some new slippers that we could use so shoes would not dirty the place! The stairs up to our room were shining clean marble and our room.. Brand new furniture, LCD TV set, bottle of complementary mineral water, a safe on the wall and the bathroom was beautiful! Large and extremely clean. We shared it with only one rooms! Wow! I will defenetly recommend this place.

We spent 4 nights at Aldebaran and loved it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with a good bathroom, but what makes the place special is Laura, the owner. She and Salvatore were very welcoming, providing very helpful information and Laura made it clear that she would do anything to make our visit a success. She recommended two excellent restaurants very close by which we liked so much we went to each one twice. The house is delightful and quiet. It is also very close to the Manzoni Metro which meant we could get access to all the tourist sites very quickly, easily and cheaply. We would recommend Aldebaran very highly and will certainly go back there when we next visit Rome.

The first reason why I never booked a room with shared bathroom it is probably obvious to everyone! however, since I was looking for a reasonable price to spend for just a couple of days, I trusted a reviewer, before I booked, where it described the shared bathroom as very clean and confortable. I must say that the reviewer forgot to mention that besides from being always, at any time, extremely clean, it was only shared by one more room. I absolutely recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Laura, the owner is very friendly and makes you feel as if you are a friend invited over to her beautiful house. It is located in the heart of Rome, and if you are a walker, like I am, you will love to walk down to the Colosseo, which is only a 15 min walk and then all the way to the rest of the beautiful centre of Rome.
I can't wait to go back to Rome and obviously sleep there again! Thank you Laura for your hospitality!

We recently returned from Rome where we stayed at the Alderbaran B and B for 5 nights, and had a superior experience. Laura, our hostess, could not have been more gracious, kind, and helpful. Her home is beautiful, our room and bathroom very spacious, clean and quiet. We were so comfortable staying at her B & B and she exceeded all our expectations. She was always willing to help us, provide advice and directions. Her breakfasts were delicious and more than we could eat. We had a couple days when we had to leave earlier than breakfast was served and Laura was very concerned that we would have our coffee, tea and breakfast items. All were waiting for us as we left, with our breakfasts packed to take away. Her hospitality and genuine care made our trip to Rome so much more wonderful. Both my son and I were genuinely sad to leave her home. It was better than a home away from home.
The location is great with easy access to public transportation and we enjoyed the resturants and gelato in the area.
I am so glad I chose this B and B and would not consider staying anywhere else on my next trip. I wish there were more than 5 stars for her rating!

We were in Rome for 4 days and our stay at the B&B was very nice. Hostess Laura is a lovely and charming woman ready to help you with all the questions.
We were given the room in second floor and had to share the bath with an other room, but it was not a problem at all.
Only thing was there was no wifi on second floor and we had to come out of the room and sit on the steps to get the signal.
The breakfast was really delicious.
It is very near to the metro station.

Hotel Al;debaran was our home away from home in Rome for 14 days. It is situated close to the Coloseum and close to the metro stop, Manzoni. Our rooms were very comfortable and clean and nicely decorated. After a day walking and touring, returning to Laura's house was pleasantly comfortable. Our gracious host, Laura, introduced us to her wonderful city the very day we arrived. She gave us a map of the city, bus and metro information, and names of reasonably priced restaurants near specific tourist sites. She also told us about the very inexpensive, famous and delicious gelato parlor, Fassi. Its located just a couple of blocks from the b & b. Breakfast each day was one of the highlights of our trip. We had breakfast in Laura's dining room with tourists from many different countries. We talked about the city and exchanged travel tips and information. Laura made sure that our breakfast was substantial, blood orange juice, cornettas, toast, cappucino and hard boiled eggs. We spent Easter Sunday at the b & b and had a special breakfast. On Sundays we only spoke Italian. Laura is a good teacher. We would not hesitate to return to Hotel Aldebaran. In fact, on our way back from the Sorrento area we had one day and night in Rome before heading back to the States. We asked Laura if she could accomodate us. She had no vacancies, but she asked her friend if we could stay with her for the night. We can't say enough about the hospitality she showed us for the two weeks we were in Rome. Thank you Laura for making our visit to the eternal city so pleasant.

We enjoy our 3 day trip to Roma very much due to the choice of this B&B. Laura is very helpful in anwering all of our questions. After check in you will get a short personal introducing for Roma, sightseeing and public transportation. The breakfast is really "lecker" and nice and you have the possibility to share your sightseeing sexperiences with the other guests from all over the world. The B&B at night is very quiet and we sleep very well.

Room Tip: Dont hesitate to take one of the two rooms on the second floor, where you have to share the bathroo...
