We arrived from FCO in a taxi after a long flight and were met at the door by Laura and her assistant who were very gracious. We were in the triple room upstairs which had a large bathroom with a tub just outside the room. There was a small kitchen upstairs for guests use. The beds were comfortable, the room a little small, we would have liked a chair or somewhere else to sit besides the bed. Laura gave us wonderful tips on the area which we appreciated and used. The breakfast was very good, Laura made homemade bread and ricotta cheese that was delicious. The Pros are Laura and her assistant, the breakfasts, good bed, and quiet location if you are looking for a neighborhood atmosphere. The Cons are the location if you do not like to spend time taking metros to the major sites ( we did walk to the colosseum but got lost and spent time trying to find it.), we were also experiencing jet lag since we had just arrived and I could not sleep and woke up in the early morning 4 am hour. Since I could not read in the room with 2 others trying to sleep I went out in the hall where there was a comfortable couch. However there is a timing device on all the lights so I had to keep pushing the switch probably a hundred times to keep the light on which was not pleasant. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this B&B in Rome.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of march 2012 (drop down menu wouldn't let me select back that far).

We walked to the b&b from the train station, and I do not recommend that, at least not with 2 very large suitcases! They were hard to manage on the narrow cobbled-y sidewalks, and took a bit longer than I thought it would. Next time I will take the underground metro.

Laura is such a fantastic host. The day we got there she sat down with us and gave us great instructions for how to get around to everywhere we were planning to go.

The underground train stop was a short walk away, making it easy to get anywhere we needed to in Rome. I will say we encountered crowds of high school age children often, as it seemed there was a school nearby, but it wasn't too annoying. We also walked to the colosseum and the distance was on par with what the other reviews said. I found the walk to be enjoyable :)

On the day we had to leave before breakfast time to go to Vatican City she left out many items we could take with us for breakfast. The days we ate breakfast there were great - her little dog sat at my husbands feet the entire time - so cute! The food was great, we were not wanting for anything.

The room was very nice, the only thing that would have made it better would be not having to go into the hall to access the bathroom, but we knew that before we got there. And I did love the shower, as it had a light that changed colors- pretty awesome!

Overall, lovely experience, Laura is fantastic and she has a charming bed and breakfast.

We were reommended the Aldebaran B & B by friends who had stayed here, and we were not disappointed. We stayed in a room on the second floor with our daughter, so our room became a triple room. There was a bathroom next door which was for our exclusive use. There was a bit of traffic noise from the busy road behind us, but it was not too annoying. Laura was very accommodating of our enquiries, and gave us helpful tips to make our stay in Rome more pleasant. The location is about a 10 minute walk to Manzoni metro station, and about 30 minutes from the Colesseum, Roman Forum etc. We caught the metro to the Vatican on the second day of our stay, which from Manzoni took about 25 minutes. Breakfast is served in the dining room, with juice, coffee, pastries, cereal, eggs and yoghurt being offered. The only negative I could see was that our room did not have air-conditioning, so it would be rather hot to stay here in summer, but for our stay in late April, it did not matter that we did not have air-conditioning. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights as part of our honeymoon. Laura was very chatty on arrival and gave us lots of information on getting around Rome and staying safe. She kindly upgrade us which was lovely, our room was immaculate, spacious and very modern. The shower was very high tech with lots of jets from all angles. We had a lovely stay and would stay happily here again on return to Rome. It's location just around the corner from the metro and supermarket and close to Termini was great. We could walk to the Colesseum but the area we stayed still felt very safe and suburban.

We stayed in Aldebaran B&B from 19th to 22th of April 2013 and really enjoyed it. Laura was a great host and do everything for us to enjoy our stay.
Room was nice and lovely decorated. Bathroom was very clean.
Breakfast was amazing with a lot of things to choose (bread, homemade bread biscotti, cereals, yogourt, cheese, eggs, tea, cappuccino, coffee, butter, marmelade, croissant, cakes, ...). Everything was very yummy and we were ready to go to explore the city then.
Laura was so nice with us, always wanted the best for our staying and visit in the city. Good advices for the transportation (bus, metro, ..) and for everything you ask.
The hotel is near Manzoni station and you can access fast to all city. You can also walk 15/20 minutes from the hotel to the Coloseo. Well situated.
We felt like home thanks to Laura. We recommand this B&B to all the people who want to visit Roma and we will come back if we do for sure.
