“Cheap and Cheerful!!!”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights. 5 minute walk from Barbarini metro station, found it easily enough after reading other reviews and keeping eye out for a green door!!

Check-in process was very easy. Man on reception was very good, spoke excellent english. Gave us a map of the city and highlighted all the main tourist attractions and how to get there. This map proved invaluable, especially when we walked back from the vatican and we took a wrong turn!!

Trevi Fountain is only a 5 minute walk, everything else is 20-25 minutes away depending on how fast you want to go!!

Plenty of restaurants in easy reach, we ate in one of the many on the way to Trevi Fountain. I recommend That's Amore for it's excellent food and very friendly service. Ate there twice and the waiter remembered us and was very talkative without being invasive.

All in all this hotel serves the purpose. A comfortable place to rest your head and feet after lots of walking around this beautiful city in this perfectly located hotel.

I really like staying at Residenza Ki, it had great service and the staff are really nice. The hotel was a bit harder to find on the street if you we're driving but if you drive slow it will be fine. I really love the breakfast every morning, Palmira is very helpful and will go out of your way to make sure everything is the way you want it. Also John at the check-in desk help my family and I book tickets to the Sistine chapel and was very helpful in guiding us on out vacation. The place is close to the Fontana di Trevi and is great location for the metro and other means of public transportation. Overall great place and great staff. Has A/C which is cool in the summer time.

My fiance and I stayed here for three nights while touring Rome. Besides being hard to find initially it ended up being a great location for getting around. It was right near the metro stop (be forewarned you have to walk up a hill to get to it though). It did not appear to be a hotel from the outside (have to notice the small sign near the door) but the staff were great and the room was clean and affordable.

While it doesn't look like a hotel from the outside, and it does require going up stairs after long days of sightseeing, the hotel was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. Perfectly pleasant, clean rooms with air con (just what the doctor ordered). Breakfast was lovely, with juice, croissants, pain au chocolats, cereals and breads and it certainly filled me up for the day. There were only minuscule problems, the first night one of our rooms had a broken boiler but we were upgraded and refunded so we could all stay together as the initial offer was to set half of our group up in the sister hotel free of charge. This certainly wasn't a bother to me and the staff were more than apologetic and helpful. Secondly, the hair-dryer in the second room was also out of order but it didn't bother me as I don't use it.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, showing us places to visit and how to get there and the hotel was literally minutes from the Trevi fountain and only a little further from the Spanish Steps.
For a girls holiday, I have absolutely no complaints with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

I stayed here for three nights with my friend and we both had a wonderful stay. The staff are truly lovely - they were always very happy to answer all of our questions, and offered lots of really good tips (like The Old Bridge gelateria near the Vatican - BEST GELATO EVER!!) Palmira makes a great complimentary breakfast, with eggs, bread rolls, a range of cereals, yoghurt, juice, really good coffee, cheese, ham and pastries. Residenza Ki is a 5 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, and about a 20 minute walk to The Collesseum, Roman Forum and Panthenon. The metro around the corner takes you to the Vatican in 10 minutes max. The rooms are clean and comfortable, just keep in mind that because it's in the centre of town, there is traffic noise, so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is also free wifi which is great, the signal wasn't strong enough in our bedroom upstairs, but it's really good in the communal dining area. I would definitely recommend this hotel as an affordable, good value option for those who, like me, are on a budget, but want a comfortable stay and good service. As an added bonus, as well as being very nice people, the men who work here are also very good looking!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the level above the breakfast room, and if possible, on the inside of the building...

This is good, clean, budget accommodation. The rooms are small but adequate with a descent bathroom. Residenza Ki is a guest house, with the warmth and good service of a family run institution. The staff are very helpful and friendly, giving advice on places to visit and how to get there. They will also organise Taxi's and make restaurant reservations on request.
The location here is key. It is a maximum of 5 minutes walk to the Trevi fountain and fairly close to the Spanish steps. Both of these areas have lots of nice bars and restaurants. Most places in Rome are within walking distance from here, but the walk may be a little longer. The Berberini metro station is only round the corner and we used this on several occasions. We purchased the Omnia Rome pass on line and would advise anybody wanting to do the main sights to do the same. This gave us a 3 day public transport and tour bus pass, but most importantly gave us fast access to the Vatican& Colosseum which allowed us to skip the long queues. Well worth the money.

Room Tip: Request a room on the 3rd floor if you don not want to be disturbed by other guests in the morning...

In a perfect location just a few minutes walk from the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and metro stop.

We stayed on the 3rd floor, the room was spacious and clean with a modern bathroom.

Staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and helpful.

Continental breakfast was good.

Make sure you know the building number as there is no big sign on the street.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms open onto the breakfast area, third floor rooms open onto quiet landing.
