“Trip to Rome”

We had a difficulty in finding it (cause there was no sign and it is in the 1st floor of a building in Via Rasella). Cheap accomodation, clean rooms, relatively quiet, 5' minute walking from Fontana di Trevi! Good hotel for a 3day trip to Rome!!

My husband and I stayed at this hidden gem in November 2010. The hotel is quite difficult to find as doorway with tanoy only (no obvious signs). The room was on the small side but has all you need for a great trip. Lovely and clean too.
The greatest part of this hotel is the location, all the major attractions are within walking distance. Trevi fountain is only 5-7 mins walk. I would certainly stay here again as we have fell in love with Rome.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and had the most wonderful stay!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bed comfortable. We stayed in two rooms, one on the same floor as the breakfast room which was reasonable size, a small bathroom but comfortable and clean. We then moved to a room on the next floor (the owner gave us the option if we wished to have a quieter room when it came available) although we never found it loud we moved rooms anyway. It was much bigger and newly renovated! A pleasant suprise!

The breakfasts were great! The best Danishes and croissants on our whole trip! Fresh every morning! The coffee is also delicious!

We would definitly stay here again. We never used the train to get around as you can walk everywhere. We felt very safe.

Great choice!

We spent 6 days at Rersidenza Ki and loved it. It is the perfect location (we walked everywhere -Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican) and Diogo at the desk is the perfect host - friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the delightful Palmira makes fantastic coffee. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom spacious. As long as you don't mind walking up flights of steps it is a great value.

We spend 4 days in this hotel. Really can't add much to the other great reviews. Location, location, location. We would walk for miles, and since the hotel is in the middle of everything, we would go to the hotel and take a 30 minute break and stretch our legs, etc. and then keep going. Also, so clean you could "eat off the floor". We know that this hotel has no lift (elevator) so it's not for those that can't climb. The hotel always smelled great, the bathroom was very modern, and the breakfast was very filling with great cappucino. The star, of course, is Diogo; he truly was wonderful. One of the nights there was a problem with the hot water and this young man didn't stop until the problem was solved. Please note that things like these can happen in any hotel at any time.

Also, the hotel is not that hard to find at all and yes, it's at the end of a hill (there are a few of those in Rome, you know) but just take your time climbing. I really recommend this hotel in spite of any other negative reviews. Thank you for reading this review. G.

Room Tip: Try to get the rooms in the back so you're away from the street noise.

Just returned back from Rome! The Hotel "Residenza" is pretty easy too find it. Before I start my journey I have read from a lot of people that's not easy to locate the hotel. Take the metro, stop at the barberini station go straight then left and at the next road "Via Rasella 53" is your hotel! Simply stupido...lol...anyway...The stuff is excellent very helpful and kind. The Location is perfect, nearby to everything, Trevi Fountain is 2 blocks away, right next to the metro, but I used it only to go to the Vatican everything else was by foot (my legs still hurts)!!! The rooms it's not something amazing but after all you just need a place to sleep. The breakfast is perfect the croissant filled with cream & chocolate, perfect cappuccino and a lot of other foods. The only disadvantage was that in one room the shower had zero pressure with result a we need about 30 mins to take a bath. The other room the air condition wasn't working at all and it was too cold. Everyday there was a maid and she was cleaning the rooms. That's all! I totally recommend this hotel for someone how wants to stay 3 or 4 days in the center of Rome!!!!

Have Fun!!!

this hotel is in a superb location, the room we had was very spacious and kept clean. The continental breakfast was good and plentiful. the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Diogo (pronounced diego) at reception was very helpful and friendly. this hotel is all about it's location. 5mins to the trevi fountain, 10mins to the Spanish steps, 20mins to the coloseum & 30>40mins to the Vatican. thats going at my wifes slooooow walking pace

Room Tip: ask to be picked up from the airport, it costs just the same as a taxi, and it saves a lot of hassle...
