We started our honeymoon at the Inn at the Roman Forum, three wonderful and very comfortable nights. The service was personalized, helpful, friendly and "stop anything they were doing to take care of us". They were happy for us to take a laptop to the room for checking internet - very handy! Its a small hotel so faces become familiar very quickly - which is nice! The room was perfect - absolutely no complaints. We had a nice jacuzzi, a nice fireplace, and a superb bed! The roof terrace is georgeous - we had long breakfasts with a magnificent view. The hotel is actually connected to the Roman Forum - so the location is perfect to walk to Piazza Venezia and the Coliseum. The quietness in the middle of a touristic spot was very valuable (you wake up with the bird songs in the morning!). Restaurant recommendations were also fantastic! Do ask them about little cozy restaurants in the little streets close to the hotel (rather than the touristic areas). Breakfast was good, but we think they can do this bit better! The price/value may be a bit overpriced (but not much).

We booked our 2 night stay at the Inn at the Roman Forum through the Small Luxury Hotels website. We booked the "Luxury Escapes" package which included a complimentary airport pickup, breakfast, and free upgrade upon availability. We did get an upgrade to a deluxe room, and it was wonderful!! It was a very spacious room and we felt like we were staying in the bedroom of a friends' lovely home, and not a hotel room. We loved the room furnishings and flat screen TV. Comfortable bath robes and slippers, great bath products, spacious bathroom with jacuzzi tube. This hotel has only 12 rooms and is off the beaten path in a place that we would never have discovered on our own--truly a hidden gem in Rome. The staff was always friendly, helpful, and assisted us with reservations and directions on multiple occasions. The morning breakfast and evening hors' d'ouevres on the beautiful terrace were such a nice treat. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Location was great too.

This is a special place. The centrally located hotel has only 12 rooms. It has a terrace overlooking the rooftops in ancient Rome. The staff is the best we have ever encountered. The food is unbelievable and the rooms are sensational. The small cobble stone street leading to the hotel makes you wonder what you are getting into but once you enter and go upstairs it keeps getting better and better. No need or room for a car but prepare to do some walking and stay alert because the drivers are bold.
