We stayed at The Inn as part of our honeymoon and had a lovely time. We stayed in room 100 right near the entrance. It was good size and so too was bathroom. The breakfast was delicious, both hot and cold options. The staff are the Inn at great value, Ivano, Ruby and Sylvia on afternoon shift were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. This small boutique style hotel is in a great location about a 8 minute walk to the Colosseum and they are some great restaurants all in walking distance. Also the underground train is very near by. The only issue we had was with the internet, it was unreliable. However there is a facility in the small reception area for guests which was helpful.

Room Tip: Room 100 is conveniently located on ground floor and close to entrance, but can be quite noisey earl...

Myself my husband and our son (14) stayed here recently on our first trip to Rome.
Really wonderful stay the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly and the location was perfect for all the sights and and yet quiet and away from it all. Having a drink on the roof terrace in the evening was magical. if your looking for something different this is the hotel for you. Loved it.

Room Tip: Beds are low so if you have a bad back could be tricky in the morning.

Stayed here for a couple of nights with my wife. The woman at reception was unbelievably pompous and the rooms are tiny and without any view to speak of. There is also hardly any soundproofing towards the staircase; one could clearly hear every single person passing outside the room - fortunately, it is a very small hotel, so there are not many of those.
There are plenty of upsides though, if you are basically looking for a place to sleep and a basis to explore the forum and some of the other sights from. Good location down a quiet side street in an old narrow townhouse, giving you a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Also a beautiful roof terrace and garden, which must be great in summer. Like most Italian hotels, the furnishings are stylish but somewhat flimsy and beginning to get a bit frayed at the edges. Would go there again though, as long as there are the usual discounts - the rack rate is a bit overpriced.

Room Tip: There are two "cottages" on the top floor with direct garden access, which must be great t...

We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon to Rome and had a wonderful experience. Staff were helpful and we received some complimentary drinks on arrival. The room was spacious, and very comfortable and we were able to come and go as we pleased. It was amazing to be staying in a hotel which was part of the Forum, and the location was perfect for exploring ancient Rome. I would definately recommend this to a friend.

Room Tip: We had an executive suite which we had discounted for paying the full fee prior to arrival - it was...

This Inn is absolutely unique and spectacular. My fiance and I stayed at this beautiful and charming Inn for out first trip to Rome and couldn't have asked for more. The Inn is located in the center of Rome and tucked away in between quiet romantic streets and incredible ancient roman ruins. 5 minutes from the Colosseum- Felt like walking through a movie set! Our room was exceptionally big, and breakfast by the fireplace was delightful. If you're looking for a true magical 'roman' experience, this is a must!

My partner and I spent 4 nights in Rome and decided to stay at this property with a friend, who had a separate room. Overall, 5 star experience with the occasional 4 star glimpse but generally deserving of the SLH association.

The room was as advertised and I felt it looked bigger than I had expected, which i'm sure is a rarity in a typical Roman hotel. The check-in went smoothly and our bags were waiting in the room when we arrived. Got a run down of the room features by a staff member. The room had a classic but tasteful fit-out.

The bed was very comfortable and pillows were acceptable. There was no compendium of hotel services and we couldn't find a mini-bar menu/price list - seemingly strange ommissions which are generally standard hotel room fodder (i'm one of these people who loves reading the compendium after first arriving at the hotel).

Bathroom amenities left a little to be desired - some conditioner wouldn't go astray. Used the spa bath a couple of times and it was a great way to relax. Good water pressure.

Breakfast was more than adequate though it isn't the worlds most elaborate offering. Each morning we were asked if we wanted scrambled eggs which were made from scratch and tasted perfect. The coffee - delicious. Staff were more than obliging and were always very friendly.

Staff on reception were a tale of two extremes. Had a fairly cranky encounter with a morning employee who would just sit on the phone waffling in italian without any acknowledgement of our presence. One morning we waited for 10 minutes before she was off the phone to help us with a fairly simple concierge question. The reply was terse, as if we were a nuisance. Another employee working the evening shift was the opposite and was just incredible - couldn't do enough for us. She booked our train tickets to Florence for us and gave us great tips of what to see etc. I'm thinking that the two balance each other out.

Internet was terrible and required a printed receipt to use which would expire after a day or two. Wifi reception on level 2 was a joke anyway, so I ended up using my phone for internet access.

The hotel is in a great location and is close to all the sites. We walked to all the major 'must see' places in Rome within two days - the colosseum was just up the road. A small piazza (where the locals would hang out and drink at night) was close by the hotel and it was fun to relax there with a bottle of red and some pizza. If we weren't there, we were on the rooftop of the hotel relaxing watching the sunset - and due to the low occupancy we almost had the run of the place.

We had a great trip and it would be wrong of me to give this property any less than 5 stars due to a couple of minor issues.

We decided to go to Rome for our 25th anniversary, this hotel was the perfect choice! Romantic and tastefully decorated. The staff was helpful and attentive to our needs. They even put a bottle of Prosecco and a fruit basket in our room when they found what we were celebrating! The location is great! Lots of fun boutique stores for shopping and just a five minute walk to the coloseum, Forum, and that whole historical area, there is even a piece of the Forum in the hotel!
Loved the place! Deffinately reccommend it!
