We stopped here on a Monday after it being closed on Sunday - we were greeted by an enthusiastic waitress and ordered as per her recommendation - excellent choices and nice beers for a very reasonable charge...

As it is located a few blocks away from St. Peter's square on a side street, the ambience isn't so great. However, the staff was very friendly and the service was quick. There is an English menu posted inside. The Caesar salad had chunks of chicken and the freshest (warm) croutons we've ever had. Their cheeseburger was big and fresh. There are a couple of tables outside and few inside the restaurant. Meals were served in take away containers, making it a good place to grab a bite on the run. Two burgers, a salad, a beer, two drinks and a cappuccino was less than €28.

One of the best fried squids and prawns I had in my entire Italy trip. Prawns and squid were really fresh for only 8 euros. Had dinner before visiting the shop else we would had ordered more. Extremely value for money, restaurant and a must try in Rome. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. A must try for travellers who loved fried squid!

To be honest, it isn't difficult to find good coffee in Rome but Fa Fa Mi was one of the few places we came across that offered it in large cups (as well as standard and medium). It was just two minutes from our apartment so it quickly became a favourite.

This is a great place if you want a fresh panini. For 8 Euros you get a freshly made panini (they have lots of different paninis to choose from) plus 1 fried item plus 1 bottle of water. On the fried item list are a few versions of suppli (a fried rice croquette that is traditional for Rome). This place is tucked away in the Borgo Pio neighborhood, a stone throw away from the Vatican. I can only recommend this place if you are looking for a fresh panini and excellent value meal while you are in the Vatican area. They have some bar tables and stools, but I recommend you grab yourself a 8 Euro meal and then head to Castel Sant Angelo and have a picnic on the grass.
