Chose Kimama for a short stay late July 2012. Both my wife and two children aged 10 & 7 loved the accomodation/location. The apartment itself was excellent and the children were delighted by the homely feel to the place. Genuine flexibility and help was on hand where needed and I would certainly hope to make a return visit one day in the future. Enjoy!

There s nothing bad to say!?!
-very nice appartement!! Huge bathroom and big kitchen.everything clean
-every day our fridge was refilled with yogurts and other "breakfast materials"-also a smart machine for coffee
-very kind and helpful owner-thanx for all the information and the emails you send us everytime we want to ask something
-free maps
-there was a laptop at the entrance of all the appartements, where we had access to the internet
-we loved trastevere!!! We could reach the city center by tram or bus when we went sightseeing, but everynight after our dinner we enjoy our walk from the restaurants and gellaterias!?
Safe for families, lovely for couples, exciting for the youth!!
Absolutely recommended!?!?!
Hope come back soon, if we find money :)

I cannot say enough about the staff and stay at Kimama in Trastevere, Rome. We walked all day, each day and came home to a spotless apartment and kitchen, cozy bed and yummy breakfasts. The owner is kind, smart and an excellent reference for many solutions and the staff is charming. We stayed in both the bedroom and then in the apartment and loved both. We loved Trastevere and it's easy access to all Rome sights. We would stay there again and again and again.

Room Tip: Book at Kimama and if you need further help, ask the owner. We had everything we needed and more.

We stayed at Kimama with three small children. Spacious apartment with own kitchen and big bathtub. Staff very friendly and helpful (replied quickly to our e-mail inquiries ahead of our stay), and lived in the area themselves and could recommend restaurants and transportation.

Go by train from Fiumicino airport to Trastevere Stazione and then take number 8 tram four-five stops and you're there.

Folks, we're speechless. Small room, even by Italian standards, windows opening into a courtyard. You have the pleasure of hearing neighbours' TVs and other noises that echo through the courtyard into your own room, along with doors slamming, bottles being dropped into a garbage/recycling area, etc, etc. Even at E 100/night it felt like the rip off of the century. We did think of moving to another B&B or hotel, however, without having access to the Internet, and two days from going home, we just grind and put up with it.

The bathroom is small, but that was not the issue. The location of the shower makes it very difficult to not splash water outside the shower "enclosure". The shared wall between the bathroom and where the proprietor lives has glass privacy blocks which became quite annoying when the light was left on the whole night which illuminated our own room. The proprietor owns a dog, which you will smell upon entering her hallway.

The few positives are the there is a small fridge which is replenish with yogurt and juices boxes, both which you can take away for a mid-morning snack, and the proximity to ancient Roma.

If you are a looking for a clean bed, where you can crash every night this might the place for you. Be warned, the noises from the courtyard will likely keep you awake.

Really pleasant stay in my favorite Roman neighborhood--Trastevere! Live like a local but you're still close enough walking distance to the river and across to the rest of Rome. We stayed in the suite, which was super spacious--huge kitchen, large bath. Clean and cute, with a vaguely Eastern kind of decor. Proprietors brought coffee and breakfast each morning. Highly recommended!

A very pleasant experience. Location is excellent in Trastevere. Close to a big road with tram and buses, but we walked pretty much everywhere (Vatican, Trevi, etc). The area is packed with restaurants and bars and seems to be an area that the locals prefer too.

There are three rooms in the B&B and we stayed in the green one with A/C which was a necessary must in the heat of July. The room was cleaned every day and the bathroom seemed to have been renovated recently. The location in quiet.

There is a tv, fridge, hairdryer and towels in the room. Breakfast was waiting outside the room every morning and included tea, coffee, yogurt, bread (dry), marmelade and cakes. There was also teabags/coffee in the room and a kettle.

I agree with the previous poster that one day the entrance smelled a bit "doggy" but that didn't affect the room. :-)
