This park is so pretty, enter from the Appia Antica..and head straight down to the little stream which will lead you to lake. Nice to take time out from a busy schedule and unwind.. Perfect place to take a picnic..Can get overcrowded on high days and holidays but no more than a London park.

Lovely Park, just over the Janiculum hill above Trastevere. Great for a peaceful stroll and to see what the real Romans do of a saturday afternoon... If you are looking for a spot to jog while on holiday, perfect location. half an hour jog around the main park, lovely views and health track to follow... nice bar caffe at top end of the park where they do great sandwiches and in the summer there is a lovely aperitif around 6ish.

This is a real hidden gem in Rome. We didn't see it listed in any travel guide and decided to visit just because we noticed there was a large park on the map near where we were. It certainly is large! We spent a couple of hours walking about and enjoying thus park yet still didn't see large parts of it. It is beautifully landscaped with statues dotted throughout and a beautiful lake in the middle. It was also very quiet in the park, a brilliant way to get away from the hustle and bustle of Rome.

Although in touristic maps it almost doesn't appear (just on the corner), it`s a very nice place to visit.
The Villa is a very beautifull place. In it you can see the "Villa Vecchia", a property with amazing gardens that can be seen outside the gates.
The area constains places to practice exercises, jogging, picknick... a lake and a small park for kids in one side.
A great place to enjoy nature, exercise and have a good and calm time.

With the abundance of attractions in the historic center, most visitors to Rome would never think to look just beyond. For this reason, the vast expanse of rolling hills, meadows, lakes, gardens and towing pine trees is often overlooked by tourists. But this exquisite park is actually one of the most beautiful places in Rome. The perfect place to immerse yourself in green far away from the traffic and noise of the city for a run, leisurely walk or picnic.
