“Worst hotel in 8 trips to Rome”
Reviewed November 10, 2013

We were stuck in this way overated hotel for 5 days in November. The room was tiny and overlooked the patio which I thought was a bonus until we discovered they have non-hotel business receptions and parties w/ live music as late as 11;30 every night. They had switched to heat on Nov 1st even though it got into the mid 70s each day. They refused to switch back to cool even though many guests requested it. Our room faced West and had no blackout shades so it was over 80 degrees each afternoon and night. The only way to cool the room was to open the small windows and listen to the party on the patio 1 floor below. I showed the mold in the shower and on the ceiling to the maid but it was never attended to. The free Wi-Fi was slow and terrible. It locked up nearly every time you tried to open something or go to another site, totally useless and frustrating. Front desk forgot English if you had a problem. Promises to be able to speak with the manager Franasco were never kept. Two stars at the very best.
I have been to Rome 8 times in the last dozen years and always had nice hotel stays at this price.
Avoid it if at all possible.

Room Tip: They only had one room when we arrived at 3pm so we had no choice. Avoid all rooms and stay somewher...

We stayed in a family room and it was a great size, the Hotel is a perfect location for sightseeing in Rome and the general quirkiness of the Hotel was what initially attracted me to book. Although the Hotel is right in the centre of this busy area it was very quiet inside the Hotel. The courtyard breakfast area was lovely and offered a very good selection. The staff were excellent and rooms clean and beds very comfy - only negative point I could make is that it was a little dated and could do with a bit of a makeover. The price of the accommodation was very good and we would definitely stay here when next in Rome.

booked it thinking it was a four star, that's what it said in the web page anyhow. It should be rated as a bed and breakfast, overpriced and over rated.
The reception is friendly, but that's about it. The rest is totally forgettable, no ambiance, hard bed, poor breakfast, bad wifi, no bar or restaurant service, and old and worndown decorations.

I stayed here with my 13 year old son. We had a large room by European standards. No air con so as we were on the 3rd floor we slept with the windows wide open. Rome at night is very noisy with sirens but we managed to sleep fine. Breakfast is good. Staff are very friendly. Location is ok we walked everywhere. Not too many restaurants to walk to at night but there is a local one that all the staff recommended Strego which was yummm.

Family of 6, booked 2 rooms- one for 4 and one for 2. Both were great. The beds, pillows, showers and overall ambience was very satisfactory. The only letdown was the fact that the breakfast was a bit simple (it was good and filling but very limited choice) but other than that, nothing to complain about. The location is also very central...only 5/10min away from the main attractions (on foot). Staff was also very helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for the ones in the higher floors

Family of 4 stayed in mid August.

It is a nice enough place to stay. Our room was spacious and although not modern it was clean. We found the beds almost impossible to sleep on as the main (Queen sized) bed was rock hard. Basic kitchen and bathroom which were perfectly fine.

The breakfast is very good with a good selection as a choice. The staff were excellent - helpful friendly and knowledgeable which is exactly what one needs in an unfamiliar city.

The location is good - about 20 minutes to Trevi Fountain and about 25 minutes to the Colosseum. Several very good eateries in the street or literally around the corner.

Overall this was a good choice for our family. Perhaps a little pricey for what it offered but we don't have any other Hotel prices to compare it to.
