It's worthwhile just having a wander over the terraces of the building - the architecture is stunning to see and get up close to. The (free) military museum is interesting, with signs in English and Italian. But the real gem of this attraction is the panoramic views from the top of the top. You have to pay to go up there (about 7 EURO) but as the lift ascends you will realise it was a well spent 7 Euro! The views are stunning - over all of Rome and beyond. You get a great perspective over the Roman Forum, and can see for miles and miles. When I was there I was also treated to a Freece Tricolori flypast which went right over the centre of the building - but I expect that was a very rare treat!!
