“A very good hotel, well priced, well located and extremely clean.”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

I stayed at hotel Adriatic with 2 friends for a period of 5 nights.

We chose Hotel Adriatic mainly due to Trip Advisors good reviews and the photographs of it. It was also well-priced.

It was a great hotel as far as I was concerned. 24 hour reception, friendly, clean, extremely close to the metro station (all main sites 20mins max by metro), tram stops and an ideal location for visiting the Vatican City as it is basically next door!

There are many good restaurants nearby and even McDonald's if you really need it.

The wifi wasn't good in the hotel, but on the rather nice terrace it worked well. Who needs too much wifi on holiday anyway? The terrace was also a nice place to go.

There is not too much traffic. Ask for a room facing the side road and it'd probably be quieter but if you close the windows I don't think you'd hear it too much anyway.

Overall, the hotel experience was good. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent but reasonably priced hotel in Rome.

When we got to the hotel, we were told that the heating system was broken. (There was also a patch at the front desk about this.) But they had added extra blankets. The night was cold. We slept incredibly badly. They said that the heat would come back the next day. The night after the patch was also there but we asked if the heat was okay. Then they said that they did not find a part that was missing, but we could get more blankets. When we came back in the evening we got remote control heating system, so now it was certainly in order. But what I really wonder is why the tag was respepsjonen the entire stay. If this is something they use all the first night! Otherwise, they were very nice Terracotta. We got new towels every day, changed the bed and trash every day. The blankets were not always clean. We had with us hand disinfectant so we could clean the bathroom too, because it was seldom properly clean. We noticed that they sprayed an intense good smell in the room instead of washing. But they cleaned properly! And fixed bed! So all in all it is a fine two star hotel! I should also tell that the bed here is very hard!

we were in february 2013 for 4 nights, and as title say hotel is recommended for price, excellent location. Not for traveler who look for fancy accommodation, wall carpeting, and bathroom size, or bed softness. It is not hotel in known description, this is residential building where hotel is only one part of it, with only room and reception, without possibility for breakfast, or lunch. Top floor is 4th and room that we have was quite good, clean, with two small balcony. We were in February and everything was OK with hotel and staff. For me, staff was perfect, they are charming Italians with style :-).

Hotel is in the center of Rome and perfect for start point of walking tours over city. I dont know anything about wifi becouse i did't use it, we walk Rome from early morning to the late night.

For the price, and without great expectation, it is absolutely recommended.

At the end, once more, Special greeting for staff from Croatian guest :-)))

Room Tip: in winter time room nr. 46 on street side 4-th floor is good choice.

Negative points:
The decor is pretty old-fashioned and my room was very musty but then again, I did have the cheapest one on the cheapest floor. The more expensive rooms are nicer and more like the photos on the webpage.
It was winter and I nearly froze with my room's four-rung radiator.
I also had to sleep wearing socks, a scarf and my puffa jacket all night.
The walls are very thin. I could hear the tones of the voices next door quite loudly.
The internet connection is only available on the 4th floor so as it was too cold to sit in the outdoor solarium, I was forced to sit on the 4th floor hallway floor with my laptop.

Plus points: this hotel is about a block from the very walls of Vatican City and the gorgeous Castel Sant'Angelo is just around the corner. I went to St Peter's Square every day - it became my new neighbourhood. There are nice restaurants all around.

The service was fine - the maid/cleaning standard is excellent.

In brief, it's an economical choice in a fabulous area.

Took my wife and friend to Rome for one night and chose Adriatic Hotel for the price and location. Staff was friendly and helpful. We brought our bicycles with us and planned to store them in the room overnight, but reception suggest we leave them in their locked courtyard which was very helpful and unexpected.

Our room had a double and single bed so perfect for the 3 of us. Room also had a small balcony which was nice to look out on.

Room Tip: I can't recall the room number, but we faced the street and had a balcony which was quite nice.

In this hotel you get what you pay for. Hotel staff is good, location is perfect, only a few minutes from Vatican or Angel castle. On the other hand, room is very small and we had for example problems with ants. But staff tryed to help us with it and they put room quite clean,

October is a wonderful time to be in Rome, this hotel is a true 2 star, close walking distance to everything not just the vatican. Great restaurants right across the street for breakfast or whatever, they turned us on to a very good tour group that was excellent. Room was very clean, bed comfortable, air conditioning good.

Room Tip: Exactly it is nice to be on the street side but very noisy, however you can close window turn on air...
