We went from a 7 day cruise on the Med and then straight to Casa di Serena for another 8 days. You could not ask for a better location, security or service in Roma. 15 minute walk to the Vatican and 5 to a Metro stop. The room had everything we needed and the washing machine in our room was well worth the extra cost. Room #5 was huge with a very large patio and best of all...a washing machine. What a life saver! Serena's helpful shopping tips and restaurant recommendations saved valuable time that we would have lost guessing our selves. We loved our stay in Roma and will return again to Casa di Serena!

Room Tip: Room #5 is huge with an even larger patio and a washing machine. Easily can accommodate a family of 4 or 5. Room as a Queen and Single. 2 more portables can fit but would cramp the room.

I went to Rome for a weekend with a friend and stayed at Casa di Serena after reading all the positive feedback from trip advisor. The reviews couldn't be more true. The owner, Serena is a great hostess, making sure that her guests have everything they need and supporting with all kinds of advice in visiting different places in Rome.
Our room was clean and with good space. The bathroom was also in perfect conditions.
The breakfast included was simple yet good to start the day.
The location is very close to the Vatican City and the metro station is almost next doors.
For anyone looking for a good value option to stay in Rome and yet expect good service, I'd definitely recommend A Casa di Serena.

Room Tip: Would suggest a room with the bathroom included.

We were a family of five staying together in the family suite. We enjoyed our stay very much. Serena was very welcoming and warm and it felt like we were staying with an extended family member. The B&B is an apartment in a building, which we hadn't expected beforehand, but it was okay. The washing machine came in handy and we did a small wash each morning, which helped us stay on top of laundry. The location of the hotel is behind St. Peters, which is about a ten to fifteen minute walk around the walls that surround the vatican. Some other sites were walkable as well, but you might want the subway pass to get to sites located further away, like the ruins and San Giovanni. The breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day and we had a cup of tea and a cookie each night back in the room. Overall, a great place to stay.

Room Tip: The family room has an outside private patio area which is nice.

We cannot say enough good things about Serena and her wonderful B&B. The room was outfitted with everything we needed and very clean as was our bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. When we ran out of plugs for our large assortment of electronic devices without even having to ask a splitter was fitted. Serena is very warm and welcoming and with her very good english a great help in finding your way in and out of Rome. Definitely use her pick up and drop off service to the airport and don't hesitate to ask for recommendations or help in making plans. The rooms have mini fridges, electric kettles, and cups, but don't miss Serena's excellent morning expresso. The best I had in Italy! As for location it's ideal. The bus stop is right across the road and so is the taxi stand and the metro, Cipro. There are many delicious restaurants close by (definitely check out Serena's recommendations) as well as two grocery stores and a great little hole in the wall pizzaria. You are steps away from the Vatican and Prati is a quiet neighborhood where sleeping at night is easy even in a world capital. We liked the coffee shop a lot. It is obviously a place that the locals use and has nice atmosphere and excellent breakfast pastry and coffees. When we return to Italy we will definitely stay with Serena again.

Room Tip: The doors to the outside of the building open with a little button beside the handle when you are exiting so you only have to use your key to get in.

Our stay with Serena was fantastic! The room was very clean and very comfortable. Mini frig in the room was a plus with bottled water provided. The location was great - right next to metro stop and taxi stop. Serena was incredibly helpful! She made museum reservations for us, recommended restaurants nearby that were wonderful and arranged for a driver to take us to the airport. Casa di Serena is very reasonably priced - overall a great place to stay! Also, for anyone with kids attending the Temple Rome student exchange program, the residents hall buildings are just two blocks up the street! Very convenient!

Room Tip: Our room had a bathroom "en suite" which was nice.
