very cheap accomodation, clean and cousy. a bit far from bus station, but overall is really a great place to stay. rooms and bathroom are really clean and wide. surroundings are quiet and nice, very green. one of the cheapest accomodation in rome, and it's really worth considering the low prieces and the good accomodation

Spent a long weekend in Rome in May and stayed at the Villa Rosa Hotel in Trastevere. The area was nice and is the traditional Rome residential area. The Hotel was a little dated but clean and had excellent staff. I stayed in a single room which was small but had everything i needed.
The breakfast was excellent and consisted of the usual cold meats, pastries and cereal etc, more than enough to keep you going for the morning ahead sightseeing. The Hotel may seem a but far from the main attractions, however its a lovely 45 mins walk through the Trastevere neighbourhood and past the Janiculum Hill, which has to be the best view over the city, a great place to stop for a drink and take in the view, before heading down the hill into the main area.A great place to visit and i'm already planning to visit next year and stay a week, in a private apartment this time.

If you want value for your money, this is the place to stay. Do not expect 5 star services for the money that you are paying. What you pay is excactly what you get, with great service and assistance from the front office.
Just ask them and the will not answer your question, but the will even show you the way and pictures from the web.
YES, YES, YES !!!

I've taken student groups to this location twice now. The staff are very friendly, flexible, and patient with the group of teenagers. Their in-house dining is EXCELLENT (truly tasty homemade meal), and the breakfast buffet is ample (though the auto-coffee machine is a disappointment). The rooms are very clean, the beds aren't the most comfortable, and the showers are TINY. The location has great access to public transportation, but it is a fair ways out of downtown, and the Trastevere area isn't the cleanest.

The street in Venice are the size of sidewalks and areas between buildings which would be alleys in America are streets in Venice. Finding this hotel takes some patience and careful planning but it is worth it. Stepping into the hotel is like stepping back in time. The rooms are a decent size (minus the shower which you just have to soap up the walls and turn) but the staff is great and the breakfast is worth the stay. Great central location off a main street just minutes from the bus and train station.

The main reason we chose this B&B was the nearness of public transportation such as trains (to get at the airport), buses (nr 3 to the center) and trams (nr 8 to the center), so you can easily reach the main points of interest. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful.
The only problem we had when we arrived, was the location of the hotel; it's located upon a small hill and you have to take some stairs to get there. But, don't worry, just ask around!

Breakfast was quite good for a basic 3 star hotel; bread, jam, butter, coffee, tea, cheese and so on.
We paid approx. 60 euro for a double room + breakfast and 2 euro city tax per person per night.
