What a find within walking distance of the Termini. Stayed five nights with 3 friends, we had a landing to ourselves, with our own front door, peaceful. Family owned hotel and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. Rooms a good size & clean. Maid service every day with clean towels. Breakfast was excellent, bread, cheese, meats, as much coffee as you wanted, jams, eggs etc. Great start to the day. Last of all reasonably priced.

We stayed at La Casa di Amy for two nights. The location is very central (just a couple of minutes from the main station) and public transport - train, bus or metro - takes you everywhere you want to go in Rome. Despite this, the room was extremely quiet. We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the B&B, all staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good for Italian standards (keep in mind that breakfast tends to consist of espresso and maybe a croissant for Italians; La Casa di Amy provides cereal, juice, buns, fruit, yoghurt, milk, tea, biscuits and a lot more, even some vegan options such as rice milk were available). Heating, Wifi and everything else worked perfectly well, the beds were comfortable. Warmly recommended.

Mika greeted me and shared with me wonderful options for walking and touring his beautiful Rome. He also sent me across the street to Cecio for dinner. :)

The room was fine - yes, noisy as it faced the street - but I was in this vacation for the experience. I suspected Rome rarely slept, and near the Termini, that seems to be true. It was fine with me, I slept with the window open the first night!

The ensuite was lovely, the added electric pot for hot water was a nice touch too! Be advised, the mattress is "memory foam" - not something I dig (I get too hot), but just be aware of this is something you may have some allergy or complete dislike of). The temperature of the room was perfect - and if it wasn't, I could regulate without issue.

Breakfast was well thought out for those of us who aren't used to just coffee and pastry - typically a meat and cheese option was provided, along with an eff choice (thank you!!!). Plenty of breads and fruits (I've forgotten how the Europeans love thier apricots - I'm taking that one home with me!)

Simona allowed me to leave my luggage for a few extra hours of touring, the morning I left. What a lovely woman!

All in all - La Casa di Amy was an incredible place to start my first solo adventure (in decades) in Italy! Perfectly located, food, laundry, and transportation is close by. And, once ou figure out the City, you may never need to worry about public transport!

Thank you!

Room Tip: Rooms facing via Principe Amedeo tend to be noisy late into the night. Memory foam type mattresses...

I stayed at La Casa di Amy for three nights. The locations is fantastic, especially considering I was on my own and carrying a massive backpack. I felt very safe.

The service was lovely and the room was great.

Easy to walk to everything in Rome or catch the metro for a quick trip.

Wifi was working perfectly. I would definitely stay again.

The reviews I read about this B&B convinced me to book a few nights because the convenient location within walking distance of the Termini Station made it possible to see and do everything from there. The staff is so special because they treat you like guests of the family! Simona's enthusiastic welcome and the owners as well as their sons take time to talk to you like old friends. We loved the little breakfast room where we ate with people from other places in the world, and on the last day we were there, the cook made a vegetable omelette just for us! The room was warm and cozy with vintage furniture, and even though the bathroom was tiny, the shower was large and the oversize bath towels were great! Everything was spotlessly clean, and we felt completely safe even though you have to be careful anywhere outside in Rome because pickpockets are everywhere!
Please stay here when you come to Rome, and tell the owners and Simona that we sent you!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the courtyard because the ones facing the street can be loud at night.

I stayed at la casa di Amy for twice during my European vacation, one time for 5 nights, the other time for 1.
They had emailed me prior to my stay to ask for my estimated arrival time. Upon arrival Simona greeted me by name, gave me heaps of suggestions for things to do, places to eat etc and then showed me to my room.
The second time I arrived the owners son greeted me and was very courteous in showing me to my room.

On both occasions my room was spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were adequate and there was even a little fridge to store a bit of food. The bathrooms were spotless, well lit and quite spacious.
Breakfast was a good spread, your typical Italian affair, cold cuts and cheeses, bread, pastries, cereals etc.

Overall I would definitely stay here again. I always felt safe and welcomed on the premises.

I stayed in 3 B&Bs and 1 Hotel in my 19 days in Italy and Amy gave us the best overall stay. We stayed in Amy for 2 nights in Dec 2013.

Location is very convenient, 5 mins away from Termini.

I think our room was upgraded, because it was big enough to sleep 4 and other rooms that we peaked into were smaller. Bed was the most comfortable among the 4 beds I had slept in Italy. We didn't have problems with the showers unlike other B&Bs, the water stayed consistently the same temperature when we were showering.

The breakfast was like advertised - excellent! Spread was great, food was fresh, and the 2 days we were there, we had different variety! Pancakes and biscuits wrapped in ham on 1 day and scrambled eggs on another. The only negative thing about Amy is that the breakfast table is too small for more than 6 guests having breakfast together and the dishes are not always cleared immediately when the guests finish.

For the price you are paying, Amy really is value-for-money. I would stay here again if I return to Rome.
