Me and my husband stayed 4 nights in La Casa di Amy in March and we felt very welcome from the start. The room was very clean and tidy, breakfasts very tasty (continental style options and lovely coffee). It is a very good location for the major tourist sites (close to the metro, bus and Termini station, 20 min walk to Colosseum). During the stay I had a birthday and I received a card and champagne in the room. It was a very nice surprise! Very helpful and friendly staff. We recommend the place 100%.

LCDA - is a wonderful place to stay if you are in Rome. Excellent connectivity (just 5 mins from Roma Termini) for all your sightseeing. The staff speaks English well, are eager to help. Rooms are clean. Breakfast has limited vegetarian options - especially for hot food - but can't complain. We were taking an early morning train to Pisa and requested for an early morning breakfast - which was delivered the night before itself - nice of them. If we get a chance, we would definitely go back again. Stayed there for 3 nights Feb 27th - March 1st. We had checked in late - after 11 pm and had to pay 15 Euros extra - maybe that could have been saved in a normal hotel - but with the homely ambience of LCDA - can't complain on this!

I stayed at La Casa di Amy for four nights in January 2013. It is a very nice place with tasty and hearty breakfasts, clean and comfortable rooms with everything you need (towels, kettle, fridge, hairdryer, TV, a set of threads and very nice balcony). Location is excellent: near Trimini (trains, metro (the intersection of all branches) and bus station) and also near the center of Rome! I think it is ideal place if you want to walk a lot and see countless historical sights and masterpieces of Rome!

We stayed at La Casa di Amy for three nights over the new year. We prepaid via their own website and got a good rate, that included breakfast. We noted that most hotel booking sites didn't have breakfast included in their rates. We had a double room on the second floor, with good size bed and tidy bathroom. It also had bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. We liked that there were lots of nice little homely touches to the room that added to the character.

Pros:
Just 2 blocks from the Roma Termini in what looked like a reasonable area, and on a street that had a number of similar B&Bs.
There was a small lift, which was very nice given our heavy bags.
We felt very secure with the the main building door, key to access the apartment and a key for our room, plus a building manager on the ground floor (not linked to La Casa di Amy).
The room was serviced daily to a high standard. Lots of nice extras were provided - shower cap, shoeshine, slippers, soap etc. plus a selection of pillows.
Breakfast was excellent, with cereals, cold selection (meat, cheese etc), pastries, bread, coffee ...
We booked and paid in advance and felt the room rate was very reasonable for the location and time of year. The city tax was on top, which we paid on our last day. They also emailed us a week or so before we arrived to check our arrival time and were watching out for us when we arrived, which was nice.
It was well located, within walking distance of many major sights.
Double glazed windows cut out a lot of the street sounds (except for New Year's Eve fireworks!!).
The owner and staff were very helpful. Lilla was especially lovely, and it was helpful that she spoke very good English. She couldn't have been more helpful. The kitchen staff were also lovely.
We were on a budget so appreciated the cheap and very good takeaway places and supermarkets nearby. The laundry across the road was also very handy.

Cons: There was some noise from the street and from adjacent rooms, but not too bothersome. It may have been quieter with a room facing the inner courtyard. You probably would want to avoid the room upstairs (third floor) next to the breakfast room though.

Overall, we felt this B&B was a very good place to stay and great value for Rome. We would stay here again.
