Me and my friend went to Rome for a holiday and we found this hotel was in a brilliant location as it is close by to all the major sights and attractions and the train station. We had a problem with the Wifi as it is only available in the lobby which was an annoyance. The lady at reception with the curly hair was rude and unhelpful. However, Wladimir Fadul was extremely helpful and very pleasant to us. We also found the staff in the restaurant were rude and very slow!!

Great hotel in great location very close to termini and within walking distance of many attractions. Would recommend using the hop-on hop-off buses located just round the corner opposite the termini. Room was lovely and spacious with high ceiling and very clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was decent and had plenty to set you up for the day ahead. Food in restaurant was tasty and as we had been given a voucher on checkin it was great value. Would definitely recommend and would be happy to go back again myself!

One point to note, if you are interested in watching the tv then this would probably not be the best place for you as the tv is small and the choice of channels not great and reception poor at times.

Very good and excellent service especially given by Nicole. Very helpful. Our stay very pleasant . Room are clean and great location. Breakfast choice was not the best and always crowded All attraction are close by. It would be nice if they have coffee in the morning in the lobby for customer who have flown in early and rooms are not ready.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms are better then room 4th floor

We went to Rome to celebrate our anniversary and I can safely say that this was the worst possible hotel where we could celebrate. The location is great. All attractions are closeby. But the hotel staff and service is bad. Upon arrival, we were not greeted but grunted at the reception. The room was small and nothing like the pictures on the website. There is no wifi in the rooms as advertised. We were told that there is a cable that you need to plug into your laptop! Who carries laptops these days? Its tablets and phones. The reception told us that wifi is only available at the restaurant/bar. We tried having dinner there one night - there was no wifi. When asked at the reception they said it works only in the breakfast room!!! The service at the restaurant was even worse. We had to go to the waitress to order dinner and drinks as she was the only staff working. Imagine getting up each time you wish to order a course. And the worst was this guy banging away at his keyboard croaking songs from the 80's! Breakfast each day was awaiting game - when will the staff ask us for coffee and tea. After asking, they would serve beverages after 30 mins of finishing breakfast. You will be better off staying further away from the attractions just to receive better service

We booked this via a Groupon deal and paid just £250 each for five nights including flights. If you take the flight cost out it means the hotel only cost £20 per person per night bed and breakfast which is pretty cheap.
Okay, the breakfasts were not wonderful. The breakfast room is in the basement and gets very crowded and noisy. The food is very bland. The coffee is truly vile. But for £20 a night including breakfast what can you expect?
The room we had (133) was okay. Very clean but smallish and with a tiny bathroom. No bath and shower was small but loads of hot water and free toiletries. Towels were a bit on the thin side but that's common In Italian hotels
The best was very comfortable and we got fresh linen and towels every day
The location wa excellent although it's a busy district so lots of traffic noise. However we were so knackered after walking found Rome every day we had no trouble sleeping.
I would be pretty miffed if I'd paid the tarrif prices but for £20 a night it was a bargain. I've reviewed some of the restaurants we visited too. We found most of them on trip advisor and you can expect to pay about £35 per person including wine for dinner.
Rome is not a cheap city. All of the attractions cost £20 ish but are worth seeing. Even in early march when we were here they were all busy so god help you if you visit in the summer.
As I type this the Conclave is meeting to elect the new pope so we'll be in st peters square tomorow (12th march) to see if they make a decision. Woohoo!

Don't get there early... they make you wait till it's 2pm. Don't check out early (before 9am you don't get any breakfast, not even hot coffee or tea.
Don't plan on internet access. In the room you need your own cables. In the lobby you only get max 30 minutes if you're lucky.
Don't plan on sleeping any part of the night. the walls are paper thin and you can hear all your neighbors talking, watching TV, or checking out in the middle of the night. We complained 3 times and they said they were sending someone over, but there's only one staff person overnight and they can't leave the front desk.
Don't plan on being too conformtable, their climate control stinks, they can control it from the front desk but it's only pretend, it doesn't do anything.
Don't plan on free hot tub, they charge. Don't plan on airport shuttle, it's the most expensive you can find anywhere. It's cheaper to hail a taxi on the street.
And they call this a 4-star hotel??????????

Room Tip: there aren't any good rooms, the hotel is noisy with paper-thin walls.

Thank you for your review,

dovereoso I draw your attention to a few points:
Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 10.30 (often opens at 7:00 AM)
In the book it is written thatthe WIFI is available in public areas, and from April will be available throughout the hotel.
WIFI for 4 months no longer a time limit, previously paid 3 euro for 12 hours.
Room climate can be controlled from the room, back into an range (17-24 ° C)
The TV has a maximum increase in volume, perhaps the voices of people who felt they were able to enjoy the holiday!

Literally 5 minutes walk from the main bus, train and taxi terminal in the centre of Rome! It's possible to walk to all the main attractions from this hotel ... e.g. 20 mins to collosseum, 20 mins to Trevi fountain, 25 mins to Spanish Steps, 40 mins to Pantheon, 55 mins to Vatican City.

Whilst you can't hear the trains through the double glazing in the bedrooms, you can hear the incessant beeping horns of the Italian drivers who beep to get out of the side street beside the hotel! Our friends (who live with London's central line at the end of their garden) had room 135 and had to buy earplugs! We had room 124 which looked out onto the hotel's ventilation extractors which was unfortunate as the room was stiflingly hot and the air con didn't work but we were unable to open our windows due to the strong smell of food cooking. Whilst the hotel is not an English 4* equivalent, both rooms were, however, clean, well presented and recently refurbished with a memory foam mattress and extra large shower cubicles too. We were offered room 151 originally but had to ask to swap as the condition of it was very 2*

The spa is a bit non-existent ... our trip included use of the sauna and (fousty smelling steam room) and relaxation beds but normally people must pay 15 euro to use them! Or pay 40 euro for two (maximum) to use the 'private spa' which apparently has a jacuzzi too.

Despite other reviewers' poor comments of the dining, all four of us were pleasantly surprised with the 'complimentary meal' which was included in our Travelzoo package ... 'though we were a little confused why only our husbands were given the antipasti (3 different bruschetta) but not my friend and I. But, as we were in a rush to catch our plane home, we didn't bother to query this oddity! The Penne was fine as a pasta course and we all chose fish for main course which did vary greatly in size from mine which was about 2"x2" to my husband's which was about 5"x5" (please note it doesn't come with anything else, so you'll need to order veg, potatoes, salad if you're hungry). Dessert wasn't included in our freebie, so we can't comment on that.

All the staff were very pleasant and helpful (apart from the bar-tender who incorrently charged us an extra 5 euro "service charge" but the Receptionist kindly refunded it when we queried why!)

Room Tip: Suggest 5th floor might be the quietest (away from street noise). 124 & 135 were pleasant and c...
