“ideal location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2013

booked through broadway travel at a very reasonable price and was very pleased the hotel is in an ideal location for getting to all the sites ( we walked every were ) , the hotel itself is very clean nice sized rooms and very helpfull staff. the only point i would make is go early for breakfast as it gets busy later, apart from that couldnt fault our stay and we are planning booking again.

Room Tip: we were on the 5th floor and did not notice street noise as previous reviewers have mentioned

The Hotel is great located and the staff is really polite and helful.
Breakfast each morning was fantastic.
Even though I can't say the same about the upper management, who never got back to my complaint regarding an issue we had with the heating the first night and we had to change room after we had settled already.
Not an email to apology, nothing.
I'd have expected at least an apologising email...

Stayed in this hotel for 4 days as part of a ridiculously cheap deal. Ideal location down a side street and a 5 minute walk from the metro/train/bus station. Polite and extremely helpful staff. Comfortable beds, great shower and room cleaned to a high standard daily. Breakfast perfectly adequate - cereals, pastries, cakes, pancakes, various breads, ham, cheese, jams, scrambled eggs and bacon. Fruit juices, water, tea and coffee. I would strongly suggest an early breakfast served from 7.30 as this hotel is very popular and it can be difficult to find a table in the small restaurant. The hotel decor and furniture is charming and in keeping with the historical building. The tv reception is limited with few channels.....but WHO goes to Rome to watch the telly??!! Some fabulous restaurants nearby with excellent food so please explore the side streets for that special Italian culinary experience. The one and only little downfall of this hotel is the restaurant for evening meals. We ate here once on our arrival as a free meal was included and it wasn't up to the excellent standard of cuisine you come to expect in Italy. Edible but not terribly enjoyable. It was brilliant visiting Rome out of season. Pleasant sightseeing temperature and no queues , not even at the Colosseum or Vatican museum for the Sistine chapel. If you are going to Rome mainly to see the sights, then this hotel is perfect for you.

Many of the reviews you will already have read will not have been very positive about this hotel. However, it s clean, staff are helpful, service is good and it is very well located for Rome city centre. Fair enough the breakfasts could be better and there are limted English speaking channels on the T.V. that numerous other reviewers mention, but given the brilliant deals they have available and if you are in Rome on holiday you won,t be spending much time in the hotel any way! Great value for money.

Room Tip: Try to get an upper floor as you are in the heart of a European capital city and will hear noise fro...

Over all it was a nice stay. However for some reason the maid was insistant on opening the windows when cleaning our room so by time we returned around 11pm the room was freezing cold.

Food was nice and staff friendly. Also they provided maps and travel services for us which is great for travelers who do not know the city!

Reception was good and welcoming and seemed keen for us to have a good experience there. Room was rather small though well lit interiorly and opened out onto a dark and enclosed courtyard, typical of an old Roman house. This meant the room was extremely quiet - a real bonus in central Rome.
Bed very good, adequate bathroom but maverick shower. Restaurant was in several smallish interconnected rooms which perhaps explains the rather haphazard service. Breakfast was fine with a good and ample choice. Evening meal was spoilt by inefficient billing but this was sorted out pleasantly by the manager. Hotel is well positioned for onward travel within and without the city.
I would not say it was a 4-star hotel, but the staff tries hard to please.

Room Tip: Choose an inner-facing room if you want quiet.

The Piram is a clean and very friendly hotel across the road from the termini and just a 10 minute walk to the centre. Receptionists very helpful. Food was very good although the service was hit and miss. Would recommend though. Rooms tidy and very Italian. Only half an hour on the train from Fiumicino airport.
