This hotel does not deserve four stars! I don't know were to start. It's a bit far from the center of rome, first 10 euros for taxi to Battistini or Cornelia, then subway in to the city, takes about 30 minutes or so. The service at the hotel is horrible, the receptionist is not even a little serviceminded or helpfull. The "bar/restaurant" is very poor and bad. Overprized and it takes about 1 hour to get the food, even if it's just you and your partner in the restaurant. I would not recommend to eat there if you don't have to. The food is not even good, they don't have so many choices either. The rooms are pretty small, but OK. No wifi in other areas than the reception, and even there is pretty poor. The tvchannels are all in italian, so it's no point having a tv if you don't understand any italian.
The breakfast is a disapointment indeed. They have juice in small plastic cups, some cereals, yoghurt, white dry bread, some disgusting eggs/bacon/omelettes. If u eat it you will puke.
The pool is ok, the equipment is not though. The garden chairs is broken and some lamps in the pool too.

Do yourself a favour, choose another hotel and your stay and the hotel will be a good memory!

Unfortunately the hotel is quite far from the city center, but this has been written in the reviews before. The staff is really unfriendly, the rooms are dirty and the breakfast is extremely terrible. We were told that breakfast is available until 10.30, but when we came at 9.45 half of the offered food was not there anymore. We asked for some more scrambled eggs and the answer was "they are out" - so the put away the bowl and that was it. When we complained at the reception, we were asked to write everything down, but nobody apologized for it. Anyway, there were scrambled eggs the next day - they were cold and really disgusting! The few pieces of fresh fruit were rotten and the bread was at least 3 days old.
So better, pay a little more and find another hotel!

Room Tip: chose another hotel!

Read some other reviews and most seemed similar to my experience. Three good points: 1. Location was easy to drive to and bus was convenient into the main attractions. 2. Supermarket saved us a lot of money on food and drinks during four night stay. 3. Restaurant dinner was nice and wait staff pleasant. Bad points: 1. The doors to the rooms and exits above, below, and on our floor slam and creek when open and shut, making for a bad nights sleep. 2. Wifi only available in the lobby, when and if it is working. 3. Breakfast is best at 7am, and room temperate by 8am, but they pour warm milk on the scrambled eggs to reheat them (kind of gross).

It is a great budget option for those wanting a cheap place to stay. The hotel is small but modern with only 3 floors but rooms are ample size and stylish. The staff are not helpful or friendly but you can get them to assist if your persistant. This is not a 4* hotel, 3 at best. The hotel is located in a quiet location, but too far from the main attractions, around 40mins to the center. There is a supermarket round the corner for your general shopping and a bus stop to get you around. There is a very small swimming pool that does the job and the breakfast buffet is limited to say the least. There is a small flat screen TV in the bedroom with no english channels (maybe i ask too much). The walls throughout the hotel are black which makes it difficult too see. All in all if your just looking for a cheap place to sleep before going to explore Rome's rich history and sites, then this is a good option.

Room Tip: Try and book ground floor or 1st floor rooms close to the reception to get the free wifi, any furthe...

This review is based on a family - 2 adults and a 20 months old baby.

SOME CONSIDERATIONS:
1) try to find another place. However, if for budget or availability issues, than, check our review below.
2) this is not a 4 star hotel. It's a low 3
3) some reviews for this hotel were made considering that this place was a five star hotel.

THE HOTEL

LOCATION: it's in the suburbs of Rome. From the hotel to city centre, you need to go down about 300 m , get a bus ( 246 or 247) then get subway line A ( stop Cornelia).

If you are used to public transportation, you won't mind to walk up and down the hill ( not that bad) to/ from the hotel. However if you use only a car back home, you will find really hard to make it. ( because you need to walk 300m down to the road then cross the road through a bridge to arrive in the bus stop.

It takes around 45minutes to get in the city center.

ROOMS: are clean, ok, nothing amazing, just the basic. Down point, for a " four star hotel" it's a shame that there is only tv channels in Italian. Bathroom just ok too, however they do not do reposition of toiletries ( only shampoo and soap). You can control the temperature of your room as well.

ATTENTION PARENTS: they charge 20€/ to rent their crib. Yes! They charge for the crib. We bought ours and by the time of check out I saw one crib of the hotel.....moldy old and looks like many babies have peed on that thing. I would never put our son to sleep there. Plus charging for a crib sounds just ridiculous.

THE BREAKFAST: it's lame. They don't have a proper restaurant, so they set up in a conference room. Scrambled eggs looks weird, the salami tasted old and bread and cakes were definitely three days old ( we stayed for 6 days and they only serve new bread in the last two days). Good point they have four types of yogurt and a nice coffee machine. In the first two days we had to buy our own bread in order to have a decent breakfast.

POOL: just ok, and enough chairs to hang out.

SERVICE: it always reflects the way that this place is managed. Staff looks like they are doing a favor for you all the time. In the first day, after a long, tired and hot day in Rome, we came back to the hotel and I called room service, ordering a pasta, any plain pasta, to serve to our son as dinner. This was around 6pm. I was told that they don't have room service and the restaurant downstairs would be open only 7:30pm. Then I said: ok, but I need to buy food from you, since I have a starving kid here. So, can I bring pasta and you cook for us? We paid for it. The answer was no. That got into my nerves and the receptionist heard my son crying for food. Since he is a good souls he asked me to wait and he, personally convicted whoever was in the kitchen to cook a small portion of plain pasta. That was the only day I asked for something in that place. Not ever.

They have three times in the morning a shuttle bus to metro station, 6 persons each time, 2€ per person. You have to book in advance.

PANORAMA supermarket: this is the place that saves your life if you stay in this hotel. Since the hotel is far from city, you don't have energy to come back to the hotel, take a shower to go out again....so you just stop by, get some pizza or sandwich and go back to your room.

OVERALL: if the manager of this place was just a bit smart, this could be a great hotel. But it's not. They try to save money in everything. Like, breakfast is served in plastic table wear, not reposition of toiletries, no wifi in the rooms, no english tv, no room service for a hotel far from the city. Actually they could make a good money if they offer a nice room service.
