We highly recommend staying at Suite Oriani. It's located in a quiet, leafy neighborhood with many good restaurants nearby. The host is very helpful and offered tips on how how to navigate the transit system, local restaurants, and things to see and do. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Simple breakfast is served in your room, which means when you leave for the day you're ready to go. Our room was spacious and clean -- a relaxing place to retire to after the bustle and crowds of Rome. Yes, it's a bit of a hike or bus/metro ride to get to the historic centre and other attractions. But we were always glad to get back to Suite Oriani -- either for some late afternoon downtime and rest before heading out to dinner, or later in the evening for a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood away from the crowds of Rome. Alessandro is an excellent host and was very helpful in arranging an airport pickup and directions around town.

The room was well decorated and good sized for a large city. The bathroom was excellent and quite large. WiFi is good. The stairs are quite narrow and steep so anybody who has difficulty navigating stairs should get a ground floor room. The room was always very clean.

The metro stop is less than 10 minutes away. There are many good restaurants within a ten minute walk but be aware they all require climbing hills and steps in one direction or the other.

You order your breakfast the night before and it is delivered to your room, always on time. You can also eat in the enclosed garden patio. The selections are a bit limited and I missed eating with other guests in a common area as that is a good way to meet people from different places.

There were a couple of slip ups with the maid service like no towels left one day and no extra toilet paper. This was certainly not enough to prevent me from staying there again.

We highly recommend it.

We ended our ten day Italy trip at this house for 3 nights and it was so lovely! The location is out of the main city but only a few minutes walk from the subway station that takes you right in. It's in a very quiet, upscale neighborhood and we dined at local restaurants each night (la parolina and ercoli parioli). The host Alessandro was always there to answer any questions and we felt like family staying there. The room was a decent size and ours had a little balcony that opened into greenery. There was a list of items you could choose for breakfast which was served in your room at your set time. We would definitely recommend and come back next time!

Based on a 4-night stay earlier this month, Suite Oriani is our new favorite in Rome.

My wife and I were both extremely grateful that we could check-in early (after a long, but early arriving trans-Atlantic flight). Our room was beautiful, extremely comfortable, and wonderfully quiet (an extreme rarity in Rome). The air-conditioning worked well, the breakfasts were satisfying, and the personal attention from Alessandro, his father, and Tanya were exactly what was wanted and needed. Nearby there are some excellent restaurants, and lots of bus routes for getting around town.

First-time visitors to Rome may find the Suite Oriani's neighborhood (beautiful, bourgeois Parioli) a little remote, but should rest assured that getting around the city is easy, and will find that a good night's sleep in this beautifully furnished hotel will probably vastly outweigh any perceived benefits of hotels they deem more "centrally" located.

It may come across as hyperbole, but this is a hotel that appeared to us to have it all figured out ---- how to provide a pleasurable, delightful stay to guests who have come to visit one of the great cities in the world. Usually when we check out of a hotel, we've created a mental list of small faults (if only they had done this, or provided that....), but during our recent stay at Suite Oriani the list of faults....was non-existent. Thus, it could not have been nicer!
