My wife, son and I stayed in the "junior suite" at the Hotel Golden fora long weekend. The suite itself consisted of a large bedroom with a large double bed and sofa bed, separate large "dining area" with table/chairs for 6 plus a lovely bathroom. The quality of fittings was excellent and fully complemented the original features such as high ceilngs, intricate coving, etc. The hotel itself is located in a traditional apartment block just off the Via Veneto - where you find the swanky 5* hotels - and around 10-15 mins walk from the main attractions. You enter the hotel through a shared marble entrance hall and make your way to the first floor where the hotel is to be found although the suite itself is on the second floor. Marco and Guiseppi were very friendly and gave great advice about transportation, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was comprehensive including omelette and bacon as well as the usual continental breads, cakes, etc. Overall, a super friendly little traditional little hotel that is great value for money. My only minor gripes are i) requirement to go to hotel reception to get Marco/Guiseppi to come up and open the door to suite very time we left the room ii) the "safe" in the room is not bolted to the wall and therefore effectively useless.
