Out taxi driver couldn't find it, but once we did, we loved it. The owner, Marco, gave us lots of suggestions and even helped us get tickets to the sistine chapel. The breakfasts were wonderful and the room and bathroom were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again as it was centrally located to The archeological area and to trastevere. We walked everywhere from there including to the Vatican a good 30 minutes away.

We can't wait to go back. Marco and Gianna made us feel like we had made new friends. The property is lovely, we truly felt like we were staying in someone's home. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast with Josselin's wonderful homemade cake. Marco went over and above helping us with all our reservations and other needs.

Arco dei Tolomei is very conveniently situated for all the major sights in Rome. Marco is a very welcoming host whose local knowledge is invaluable for first time visitors to the city.
The accommodation is comfortable and clean and the breakfast very good.
However, we were a party of 6 and were slightly disappointed in our stay - mainly by the standard of the rooms which we found to be variable. Some of the furniture is quirky at best and un-usable at worst!. The terrace and bedroom balconies had apparently not been prepared for the season and, generally, the photographs on the hotel web-site are flattering.
The dingy shared staircase to the property is in need of refurbishment.
We enjoyed our stay at Arco dei Tolomei but felt that for the price, the accommodation should have been better.

We have stayed with Marco and Gianna at the Arco dei Tolomei many times now. We absolutely adore the place and will always return. We have travelled with our son and they treat like him part of the family and help us to really relax. The location is perfect - close enough to the attractions but far enough away to enjoy an authentic Roman evening meal in a less crowded restaurant. Thank you!

Residenza Arco dei Tolomel is located in Trastevere, an area of Rome that is convenient to much of the city. The owners are very helpful and lovely people. It is difficult to find the first time as the entrance does not have signage. Owner was there to greet us when we arrived late and helped us with our luggage up the 3 flights of stairs. Rooms are very clean and filled with period furniture. There is a common area where there are lots of reference books for your time in Rome. Noisy at night with window open at all due to popular restaurant right behind. Several good restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Room Tip: Ask for a room where the windows don't open to the restaurants behind hotel.

We stayed here in March as part of a group of 8 friends visiting Rome for the first time (for most of us). The hotel was perfect for our needs; really well located in Trastevere which has lots of buzzy bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Marco had booked 2 restaurants for our group and they were both good and we would definitely revisit them. Josselin was a joy at breakfast and also helped with booking airport taxis. Everyone made us feel welcome and our whole trip ran smoothly from start to finish. We definitely plan to return to Rome and would love to stay here again. Thankyou Marco, Gianna and Josselin.

My husband, our dog Elsa and I visited this great guesthouse during our 4 months long "tour" around Italy and we couldn't have chosen a better place in Rome. This part of Trastevere feels really authentic and not overcrowded by tourists (like ourselves ;).
We can only confirm what others already have stated that breakfasts are great with nice company and good advices.
We would definitely come back and stay here for our 10th visit in the eternal city.
