Great place to stay. Most comfortable beds and pillows. Clean. Splenolore was the most caring and attentive hotel employee we have ever met. We have stayed at many luxury hotels. She was the best. My family arrived at the hotel at 9:00 am provided us with a room til our room was ready. Great customer service very helpful in all aspects.

We stayed at the Trilussa hotel in July for my birthday. The staff were absoulutly fabulous, always prepared to give us suggestons for authentic restaurants nearby, calling taxi's and generally ensuring our stay was as pleasant as possible. Rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Spacious rooms with great decor and a really cute roof terrace. The area around the hotel isn't so attractive but very safe and the hotel itself makes up for that. We were there during a heatwave but the tram outside the hotel was a godsend as it does actually come every 2 mins and you can get a 3-4 day pass from the little shop round the corner. The trams do stop around 12pm-12.30 so its cabs home if you're on a wild night out!! All tourist attractions are easily accesible by tram and train from the hotel. The old town (10min walk or 5 mins by tram) was just brilliant for bars and restaurants and there was so much more happening by the river. As my brother found out he passed his exams on the same day as my birthday, the lovely hotel staff left a bottle of wine in our room with a note to say happy birthday and congratulations. It was so lovely. Thank you to all of you for making our weekend just perfect and sorry for the delay in writing this review - Priya & Ajit

This is an excellent hotel for a stay in Rome. It's not very prepossessing from the outside, but inside it's cheerful clean and perefctly adequate. The breakfasts are excellent - and Italian hotel breakfasts are usually terrible. The staff are charming and helpful. The rooms are clean, the beds comfy, the water hot, everything works. You wouldn't want to spend all day in your room, they are not very spacious, but you don't go to Rome to spend all day in your room. It's a really excellent base for sight seeing. The No 8 tram stops just outside the door, is very frequent, and gets you right to the centre of Rome in 10 minutes for one Euro (less if you buy a one day or a 3 day ticket) . We will definitely go back theree.

The hotel was not great, but not bad either. The rooms were classic European size (very small) and they had VERY small showers. The showers were crazy spaceship looking.

Anyway, the hotel is in the Tastevere neighborhood which definitely has more of a neihborhood feel. It was kind of nice being able to go back there from the madhouse that is Rome. While at the same time it was a short 4 stop ride on the tram from the hotel to central Rome so getting around is actually pretty easy.

All in all it is not a bad hotel for Rome, especially given the price. I woudl recommend it to anyone looking for a good hotel at a decent price.

Lovely hotel, really feels authentically Rome, with a Turkish bath thrown in. The location is quite far away from the centre of town although the tram takes you directly into town and the attractions. Good value for money as most other more central hotels are quite expansive.

Baroque style hotel English speaking staff very friendly - wonderful spa facilites we hired them all to ourselves for the afternoon including massages! Quiet location tram stop outside hotel 1 euro gets you to the middle of Rome - rooftop bar where you can enjoy a drink in peace away from the hustle and bustle. Antique/flea market on doorstep every Sunday if that is your thing. Travestere area of Rome loads of restaurants and small cobbled streets with craft shops.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, good location. Transport links - buses and trams - run right outside the hotel. We only ate breakfast in the hotel but the quality and quantity could not be faulted.
